Iphone 3GS unlock problem

Device: Iphone 3GS 32GB white
Firmware: 3.1.3
Jailbreak tool if used: SPIRIT
Unlock tool if used: Ultrasn0w
Computer OS: Windows 7

What my problem is:

My Iphone is locked on orange UK network. I just twice restore it to 3.1.3 and used spirit to jailbreak and used Ultrasn0w to unlock Iphone but the problem is the same.

Problem is when I use orange sim, all the signal bars are ok and I can make call and etc but when I insert any other sim, name of the carrier appears but no signal bar and as soon as I hit the call button it says failed call. But interestingly I can use carrier internet.

I made sure to disable 3G before using Ultrasn0w to unlock and I have tried vice versa as well.

Any idea what I am missing?

you can unlock legitimately on orange uk if your phone is not blacklisted

My iPhone 3Gs is officially unlocked by 02 UK and everytime I insert another sim it does the same as above. But after say 3 minutes I get a signal and everything is ok. Have you tried waiting.

Try reset data network settings wen u put the new or unofficial sim in

make sure 3g is off and all network settings r correct u can find them in the fourms and get off the repo

I have a question, i use sn0wbreez-v1.7 to customize 3gs 4.0 fw but no matter what type all itune restored show is 'the iphone "iphone"could not be restored. An unknown error occured(1604) click 'ok' Itune- By clicking "Agree" you agree that Apple may preiodically collect and use this infomation as part of its support services and improve its products... Anyone know why i cant restored my phone???? I need help!!!!!
