TetherMe vs. MyWi vs. PDANet
Okay, so all of these apps that are out. I hear MyWi is the best. Mainly because it can create a mobile hotspot. That's about all I get from what MyWi can do. I heard about TetherMe and PDANet however. Although, I'm unclear on what they do EXACTLY. I know TetherMe enables "native" tethering, but I have no idea what that means. And I know PDANet enables Tethering via USB, but it does not create a mobile hotspot. So I'm confused as to what they all really do. I will eventually just buy MyWi because the hastle I've gone through to hack it is too much. So if anyone could please explain the best between PDANet and TetherMe and actually really explain WHAT Tethering is, I'd appreciate it and will +Thank you.
Thanks in advance.

Tethering is sharing mobile device's internet connection..
I have the trial version of mywi.. Used my iphones internet with my ipad wifi and it works seamlessly...
Its like having a 3g ipad..
However cracked version of mywi in sinful repo crashes my springboard...
Any help with that is highly appreciated...

The big difference I've found is that both tetherme and PDANet require you to use an adhoc connection where mywi creates a mobile hot spot. I had to use mywi because my wifi iPad can't create an adhoc network. If you're still confused just search YouTube for instructions on all 3. Personally I find mywi the easiest.

I've tried them all. The best by far is MyWi. It starts up the fastest, has the best DL & UL speeds, is the most user friendly, and has built in security features if that matters to you (not to me)

I found pdanet more reliable, and easier to install, doesn't need rock. mywi has mor efeatures and doesn;t need ad-hoc. My work machine doens;t allow adhocs so miwi is better. I bought both as they were so cheap. If I use a program more than a few times, I generally buy it, only seems fair, and I can still use it if I lose the jb.

I just tried MyWi yesterday and it crashed my phone and I had to restore my phone because it did that stupid endless reboot. Couldn't even get to my springboard.

Personally prefer MyWi though, it's the most hassle (and wire) free.

I went to the PDAnet webpage and notice that is has a price tag of $29.00 which is higher than Mywi at $20. Also Mywi is a hotspot not an AdHoc so it has more versatility.
They were not clear on the trial duration. Does anyone knows how long is the trial for this PDAnet?.

I think the trial for PDAnet is 15 days- mine just ran out-
I prefer pdanet- works seemless and the crack doesnt crash my phone- If there were no crack I would still happily pay the $29.99 price tag-
Its even fast enough to allow me to play xbox live thru it-
