How to Use Queuing in Cydia to Download Multiple Jailbreak Apps Simultaneously

I used to always dread when I would restore my iPhone, and have to re-download all of my jailbreak apps and tweaks again. This wasn’t so much because jailbreaking in itself was difficult, it was because Cydia was so incredibly slow and cumbersome.

Now that Cydia has been updated, the whole experience is drastically improved. The load times are shorter, and the queuing functionality is much more refined.

Oddly enough, most of the people I know don’t even use queuing or know what it is. Simply put, queuing allows you to queue up multiple items, and process them all at the same time. It makes downloading and even uninstalling a bunch of items at once, a seamless affair…

With the new and improved queuing UI, you can install, uninstall, and reinstall items in batches. This makes reinstalling all of your favorite jailbreak apps after restoring your iPhone a cinch.

Check out the video for a full tutorial on how to use queuing.

i have the same problem... when i add more than 3 - 5 packages in queue, it crashes to springboard... then when i try to add more than 1 or 2, it'll crash again... and again... basically i get lucky if i can actually use the queue feature!!

Been using iDevices since the original iPhone, been jailbreaking them since the beginning, but since there's so much time in between jailreaks/new devices/tweaks to fool around with, I decided to take things to the next level... Instead of fooling around, I'm taking it apart and putting it back together ten times better...

iTools is what you need! iTunes is what you need to UNINSTALL!!! iTools does what iTunes does and a hell of a lot more... Don't just copy music TO your iDevice, copy your iDevice music to your computer. Also has some great features for jailbroken users!

When you click the iTools link above, look on the top right of the page for the "ENGLISH" button!

I don't know exactly what the problem is, but it will manage a bigger queue before crashing if you block Cydia ads (fucking ads). So based on that I would say it's an issue of Cydia trying to use more memory than it has.

Root runs off its own tiny separate RAM partition or something doesn't it? Blocking the ads probably lowers the memory usage by an assfuckton, so Cydia can manage more before it crashses again lol.

You also can't leave a loading page too quickly without ads disabled or Cydia crashes there as well lol

I do use queuing quite often, sometimes I feel that the downside is that it could be hard to tell which one crashes the system if we download multiple items at same time.

Yeah, doesn't seems like it can handle the load well.

Another issue is that sometimes it won't install everything you have queued so you have to pay attention and make sure it does.

Personally, I like to install apps one at a time just so I can pinpoint any conflicts/issues easier.
