Icon3 Please Post your Iphone 4 battery Usage stats Here!!!

I started this thread for all of those who want to compare their iPhone 4 battery life to other peoples iPhone 4 battery life..

Please post a single days use (from full charge to about 5% left) of your iPhone 4 running on any iOS firmware on any baseband version, Jailbroken or Stock, Unlocked or Not. please post the details for the community to find out what could be the root cause of all battery drainage problem,

if Jailbroken please specify which method you used, (Redsn0w , custom firmware, greenpois0n, ect)..

if Unlocked please specify also...

and also state what you did on the whole one charge..

also if you have any problems and concerns about battery feel free to post them also..

thank you guys.. much appreciated... this would benefit us all so please post honestly... :-)

so....

iPhone 4, on 4.2.1 jailbroken (Custom Firmware) and unlock ( Ultrasn0w 1.2, also SAM Activated),..

currently at 5%,

Usage at 6 hours, 14 minutes

Standby at 15 hours, 20 minutes.

used it for games heavily, texting and music..

my problem is it drains 3% per 1 hour... kinda sucks really, i expected more... they said it must be because of the jailbreak and that it causes a rouge process to keep running or something.,

APPLE IF YOUR READING THIS I WANT YOU TO KNOW: you are the faggiest faggy fag fag ive ever known, you are in a complete and utter duch for trying to control everything and for playing God! you can kiss my shiny ass coz i aint never gna bow down to your restrictions! your rules! and your obsession in trying to stop the creative minds of the young generation in improving what you have created! you should be thanking the JB community in providing you with new and truly innovative ways to improve your so called iOS without jailbreaking, without cydia without those talented developers who work on these tweaks, your iOS will be just plain CRAP!!! you should be thanking the community instead you stole ideas from the community and then continually lock us out.. if i were you, id give up now because in the end, WE, the Jailbreaking community will PREVAIL!!! onwards to victory my fellow JBreakers!... .

Press the "THANKS BUTTON" it will extend your life span by 1 millisecond,

if this is without a single plug in I am impressed... but if I remember correctly the 4.0 firmware didn't have the the little message at the bottom "Device been plug in" message; I could be wrong

Like he said , some could be just listening to ipod .
What you've done during the usage should be stated to make it clear .

Mine : 4.1 jailbroken with limerain
Not unlocked
Games usually last me around 7hr above
Normally surfing and gaming casually w/o listening to ipod
always gets to slightly around 8 hr .
With ipod in lockscreen = forever

You can use batterydetective to check the drain of apps / Current capacity of your battery to better understand it

I can charge mine and under MY normal use I go from 100% at 5:00 am to around 86% by 10:00 pm. I charge my phone every 2-3 days. Now if I surf and run it hard I get a 1 1/2 days out of it. Very pleased with the battery life. I am on IOS 4.2.1 and 16 gig i4 tweaked out!

stand by at: 1 Day 3 hours,
(Custom firmware, 4.2.1 ios, bb 1.59.0, SAM activated, Ultrasn0w unlocked.,)
still think their is a huge battery drain problem on mine,.
do you think it has something to do with the baseband?

Have to agree with houstieboy, though I would have phrased it better. I generally run my battery to about 10% on a regular basis; i'm old and still remember the days when you had to complete a full discharge/recharge cycle to maximise battery life. So, this habit is still with me and seems to aid in battery life of the phone.

Generally, I get 2 days of usage without a charge, iPhone 4, 4.2.1/Greenpo1son RC5. This is with constant email, linked-in, refreshes and a facebook one about every hour, WiFi is always on as there are several free hotspots, so can and do download apps from both Instalous and AppStore. And, of course I listen to REAL radio off an app for most of the day as work's radio is crap; thus using WiFi more. I do constantly close down apps from 'multi-tasking'.

As, someone stated too many variables to discover if or what causes a battery drain. But, hope this helps in your quest.

People saying this post is useless don't understand the english language. No one is trying to find real stats. The OP is just trying to see if there is any trend in battery usage and to see how well the others are doing with their "normal usage". Don't say it's spam when you're the one posting "useless. this is spam" in this thread. These threads are the only ones useful on the forum.

i4 32gb GP RC4 on 4.1
No tweaks and no apps from JB beside mywi
Push is on

I get around 25-50 texts a day and I use it to check my emails maybe 3-4 times a day. I use the Internet from time to time when I need it. A lot of music (about 4-6 hours a day) and a little bit of games (about 30minutes/day.

With about 30minutes of phone calls, I get about 2 days easily (After 2 days I'm usually around 20%).

Without phone calls I can get 3 days, but my battery dies when I get back home and around 20% I start to be careful with my battery usage.

I get 1 day and a half if I use it a lot (gaming, youtube, a lot of web, a lot of texts, etc.)

Hope this helps.

found something, compared two iphone 4, both 16gig and 4.2.1, the other one is jailbroken and the other stock, keep in mind the jailbroken one has its fill of tweaks on it also both have the same settings.... tested them both overnight and both lost 2 percent.. over 8 hours of standby, tested watching videos , the same time, playing the same game and doing the same stuff side by side.. and incredibly, both iphones drain the same battery during the same usage.. = me HAPPY
