Have you tried installing the latest stable build through NitoTV on your jailbroken ATV2? Go to NitoTV-->Install Software ---> Update all ---> then install XBMC. You will be at the latest stable build.

I jailbroke it with Seas0npass so Nito didn't get installed and I couldn't get it to install through SSH either. I'm going to retry using Sn0wbreeze to see if I can get it going. Literally everything I typed in the command line would freeze it up.

*******Edit: I jailbroke it with Sn0wbreeze and now have it. Waaaaaaaaaaay easier!!!
