NFL Sunday Ticket?

Thinking about buying a ATV and dont know much about it. I know the basics, but would like to know what it can do after jailbreaking? Im guessing i would be better off buying one used with a lower firmware? Can i watch NFL games with it? Thanks for the advice and tips. I would take more time to read all the details, but with 4 kids and 1 on the way, i got my hands full. And the wife has been on my ass about being online to much.

the answer is, maybe, because it don't have live channels

after jailbreak it wont hack any features it just give you extra access to install more things on them just like iphone, App Store remain there but you have to get installus same here you need to get nitoTV and XBMC and then through XBMC you need to get plugins like navi-X to get access some movies for streaming

Actually you can watch NFL games through the SportsDevil add on (Nfl RedZone too!) The lower the firmware the better so you can get an untether JB. There is another add on called icefilms, where you can stream tons of movies and TV shows. Hope this helps!

Those add-ons are both through XBMC. Sorry, that was kind of an important detail to leave out, lol.

I went ahead and bought a new ATV2 and i must say after getting it set up with some feature's i am loving it. Just called to get my internet upgraded from 6mb to 30mb. Should see a big difference as the 6mb is pretty laggy for streaming from my PC.

How so? Maybe you should update your wireless router, your Internet won't help yur PC Streaming.

I have been using a Wireless ATT router and service. Am done with there crap after getting charged the full amount every month when i was suppose to be on a promo. Put up with it for a year, even though i pretty much got my service for free because of all my call ins.
I am now getting TimeWarner Cables wireless router. Not sure what unit i will get or if i should even get the wireless modem. What do you suggest i do or do you think the TWC wireless modem will work fine? Im figuring it would work good because im getting the 30mb sec service

I have comcast. They gave me a wired modem. Then I went and bought a wireless n router. Streaming movies to my iPad, tv, whatever...I snever a problem. Thanks for this thread tho, I know a lot of people wonder what the real benefits of jail breaking the ATv do
