Read that 5.0.1 has now got an untethered jailbreak for non-A5 devices.

Any update on how we can update to iOS 5.0.1 retaining jailbreak and unlock?

Only way you can update will be to restore your device with a custom firmware from Sn0wbreeze, and re-download your tweaks/apps. I really don't update unless they release new features or major bug fixes. So its your call

Does MMS use data? I don't have a data plan for T-Mobile.

If it does, how much does it cost to send/receive MMS?

I can't send MMS. I'm not sure about receiving though.
I've tried both of the urls.
Do I need to turn off Data Roaming?

I have tried all your suggestions to get my T-Mobile MMS to work. The ONLY solution that worked for me is http://modmyi.com/forums/t-mobile/79...-settings.html
T-Mobile customer support instructed me to ]eave data roaming ON and cellular data off if you don't have a data plan. When data roaming is enabled it increases range to pick up more "shared" cell towers.

If Cellular Data is off, how am I suppose to send an MMS? I have no data plan.

Lol you would post this, after my buddy is going to throw me on his plan the third. I'm going to be on ATT and not have to worry about unlocks, AND I will be getting 3G service! Apple is screwed, I have everything I need to take over the world!

LiveWire, I am having a bit of a crisis. After following your tutorial, I am getting No Service. I have tinkered with it for hours and I fear that I may be making it worse.

I have had my iPhone 4 jailbroken and unlocked with a Gevey Ultra on T-Mobile for a few months now. Today my friend tries to send me an MMS and I got the message "The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction." So I followed your directions and somehow along the way, I broke my phone...

• Installed OpenSSH from Cydia.
• Installed SBSettings which gave me a little switch to turn OpenSSH on an off.
• Using an FTP client called Fugu, I replaced my com.apple.mms_overide.plist file with the one you supplied.
• After rebooting the iPhone, I no longer get the black Gevey screen that asks me to Accept or Decline.
  It says No Service at the top and a prompt for New Voicemail.

I am not implying that your tutorial broke my phone- I probably over looked a setting or did something wrong that maybe someone of your caliber and wisdom could easily figure out. Please help me LiveWire. My iPhone is my link to my career.
