Can I find a lost iphone 2G ?

I have a deactivated iphone 2G that I use on wifi only (no sim) and Find my iPhone only works on devices 4.0+ and higher. Is there an app in cydia that would let me locate the device ? I tried FindMyPhone in cydia but that requires the phone to have cellular service so it can receive SMS.

I think it isn´t possible, cause the 2G hasn´t a built in GPS Modul! So without cellular or service or a working WiFi connection it won´t work.

Hey,

iPhone 2g or Edge does not have GPS on it, so it will be near impossible to find a app for it that does that

Thanks
Credits go to the makers . Hit thanks if i have helped

Whited00r firmware should allow you to use iOS 4 apps on an iPhone 2G.

It's not going to work, at least I doubt it. No GPS.

Whited00r doesn't allow iOS 4 apps
It is only a custom firmware that gives the feeling of iOS 4/5 and it is not even a complete experience
If I have helped please press the little thanks button in the right hand corner

Don't get me wrong it is a great firmware but all it is only a custom 3.1.3
That ofcourse means iOS 4 apps will not work (much like iOS 5 apps don't work on iOS 4)
If I have helped please press the little thanks button in the right hand corner

Correct. There's nothing we can do to make iOS 4 apps run however, it's dependent on the apps themselves. :/

Guys of course there is a ios 4 apps supporting whitedoor firmware ,but only a single one ,that i know about.

I used it on my own and it is certainly not at fast as a 3.xx based firmware.
@ leastit allows running ios 4.2.1 based apps.after this firmware is definately nothing that allows any newer firmware versions then 4.2.1 on the 3g

Yes he asked about a 2h device ,but the info might be relevant for people who are seaching for an aswer on that question. So dont flame me for my post in this thread.
