You Decide: Should pod2g Release an iOS 5.1 Jailbreak or Wait for iOS 6 Instead?

As you all know, currently there is no untethered Jailbreak for A4 devices running iOS 5.1 however there is a tethered Jailbreak. As for A5 devices there is NO iOS 5.1 Jailbreak at all.

The good news is that pod2g has some new tricks up his sleeve for an iOS 5.1 Jailbreak on all devices, however he is considering holding off on using them until iOS 6 is released. He has started a poll on his blog and wants to know what YOU think!

So take a second and head on over to pod2g's blog and vote on what you think he should do.

Personally I voted for him to WAIT until iOS 6 is released and I really think you guys should consider voting to wait for iOS 6 to be released as well. I know that's easy to say coming from someone who's device is already Jailbroken but in all seriousness there is absolutely NOTHING FUCKIN SPECIAL about iOS 5.1 so do we really wanna burn a new exploit on a shitty iOS version when iOS 6 is right around the corner? Not to mention an iPhone 5 release in the upcoming months as well which will more than likely ship with iOS6. We know that the new iPhone 5 release should be a completely new designed device and not a "last year's model clone" so there's definitely a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months ahead. I strongly advise you take all that into consideration BEFORE you vote! Think about how long it took for an iPhone 4S Jailbreak to be released. Do you really wanna have to wait that long for an iPhone 5 Jailbreak to be released?

So THINK about it! Don't burn yourself in the long run just because you're too impatient. Vote to WAIT for iOS 6

Iam gonna take a trip when iOs 6 is released and no jailbreak is available ,i wont witness the shit thats rolling into this forum includes complainings ,crying ,threatning to go to android and whatever else .

I would suggest that those of us who would like to upgrade to the 4s be considered.

It would be nice not to have to give up all that comes with a jailbroken iPhone to get the latest iPhone.

Eaxctly!, If you guys remember there were 5 (yes 5!) userland exploits in the iOS 5 betas for the iPad 2. Almost all of them got patched in about a month or 2. We are talking 6 months out.

release. who knows maybe those exploits will already be patched when ios 6 arrives. release when there's to be released. pod2g and the rest of the crew will always find a way. these guys are the modern picasso and albert einstein. i remembered few months after 4S came out people were saying that's the end of JB era and that a5 can not be hacked. but look at us now, still rocking our A5 devices

but it's just my 2 cents. whatever pod2g decides, we just have to respect it.

Release it now duh.... if we were to wait for iOS 6 jb.... then that means the iPad 3 will have NO jailbreak for OS 5.xx and every new iPad owner will have to be on iOS 6 to jb..... that doesn't sound right to me...

IMO, the ONLY people that should be pushing for a 5.1 release are the iFad 3 Users. Other than that unless you just got your A5 device AFTER iOS 5.1 was released then there is NO FUCKIN REASON why your ass should be bitching about a 5.1 release. If you were smart your ass would already be Jailbroken on iOS 5.0.1 and if you wanna complain about you had to restore because this and that happened and it crashed your phone blah blah blah, well then get a better device! Should have kept your iPhone 4 instead of getting that counterfeit 4S that has like a couple new features, big fuckin deal. But see the iPhone 4 has the biggest feature that the shitty 4S doesn't have, A BOOTROM EXPLOIT You guys know the consequences of when you upgrade. Me personally decided to give up my 4S's and keep my 4's because I would rather have the bootrom exploit and KNOW that I can Jailbreak no matter what. That's more important to me than a gay new camera and a little faster cpu.

I Agree with LiveWire, realease the JB, they will patch all exploits in iOS 6 for sure.

Let us enjoy our phones to the max.

We will worry about iOS 6 when the time comes.
