You Decide: Should pod2g Release an iOS 5.1 Jailbreak or Wait for iOS 6 Instead?

Well when you think about it if iOS 6 come out and it gets patched then people will be like "I told you so, you should have released it for iOS 5" but if it doesn't get patched for iOS 6 because it did not get released then we will have a BETTER version of iOS and it will be jailbroken faster! Worth the wait!..

Just curious if he has 5 exploits - couldn't he package 1 up for the jb release that and still have 4 left to use on ios 6?

Most likely all 5 exploits are needed to execute the code. like on door leads to another door

He should definitely save them for 6.0, just on the offhand chance they'll still work. Like I said, save those valuable bullets. Yes, there's a chance the gun might jam, but it's a risk you have to take. Shoot the bear in the foot?

I don't see all the fuss can anyone say for sure that these exploits will even work on io6? Is there something we don't know or not being told, there will be more exploits and more iOS updates and the people making these jailbreaks will always be a step behind there doing this on there own time and apple has money to burn use what you have when you can rather use it now than waste it on could be. 5.1 may be no great improvement but you will find something to bitch focus on what's known rather then might be

after big crash i m locked in 5.1 with my iPad 2 . why is not possible to create a tool to downgrade the A5 device to restore it with or with out iTunes with signed sshblob or aptickets only and wait fore IOS6 jailbreak release?????

I can't wait to jb my new iPad. But I think we should wait! How I would love this to be jb'd!!! And I'm the most impatient fuck out there. Perfect it and get it ready for iOS 6. But when it's ready for ios 6 don't be a fuck tard and keep it to yourself please. If you do. Don't tell us FFS. We don't care that you can do it and we're stuck killing ourselves waiting for a release that will never come like a lot of ppl are now. Myself included until I saw and read this post!

You analogy is a little off. This situationis like saving bullets against the first bear that attacks because you think you'll need them for a second bear that may or may not attack. These guys should take on what is in front of them, not hold back for the future. Then again, if the 5.1 jailbreak that was created on Day 1 was given to the community instead of holding it back for months, there would be no debate.

Wow... you still think that an iPhone 4 brand new from Apple Store would still have 5.0/5.0.1??? I highly doubt that and can almost guarantee they've all been updated to 5.1 by now with the exception of possibly a few 64gb models but that's wishful thinking... new iP4 on 5.1 means that model is on the "same boat" as the newer 4S'es with 5.1? (can iP4 5.1 brand new still be tethered jb?)


I see both sides of the argument and if these are the last few exploits we ever see for iOS.... then our jb'ing idevice days are kinda numbered (shit like this makes alot of us consider switching to Android eventually)
