Yes they are still signing 4.1 so you can downgrade
Save 4.1 shah blobs with tiny umbrella then shift restore to stock 4.1 fw with tiny umbrella TSS server running in the back ground ( not even sure if you need tiny or shsh's or 4.1 but it can't hurt)
If you stay on 5.1 you will need to install the 6.15 bb but be Sure you will loose gps function
Then install ultrasnow for unlock
If you have a late model 3GS the 6.15 bb will kill it
Do some research before you do
