What update should i put on my apple tv2?

Im currently on 4.2

XBMC is really all i use (icefilms/1channel).

I recommend you stay in your current firmware. 1.) because you can't really update to any other firmware like 4.4.4 unless you have your shsh blobs saved. 2.) the current firmware 5.0 jailbreak is tethered so if you need to unPlug it for any reason or if it freezes on you, you will need a computer to boot it back up. 3.) 5.0 GUI blows it looks a hot mess and all the updates that are coming out for the apple tv are pretty much a waste. Do no update unless your having a lot of trouble with your current UNTETHERED jailbreak

Well is icefilms working now? Iv seen people say its working. I keep getting a script error. And i saw that you can turn off the metadata by holding menu on icefilms. But when i click on the "add-on settings" it says "This add on can not be configured". Also when i go to update icefilms it says "add-on has been marked as broken in repository".

I have not updated anything on it in over a year. So im not sure what the problem is.

Any help?

Well you can try un-installing the repo and the add-on, then re-installing them. What have you got to lose, they are not working for you the way they are now

If there is a repo available, ALWAYS install the plugin from that rather than manually installing just the plugin. The repo will keep it up to date and make sure you have all the required dependencies.

What version of ice films are you using currently?
