Apple Releases New Build of iOS 5.1.1 for GSM iPhone 4

I restored my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 (9B206) 3 hours ago and iTunes verified the restore with their server. I didn't use TinyUmbrella for the restore.

I just used TinyUmbrella 5.11.00b to test and I can see TU is still downloading the 5.1.1 SHSH blob so Crapple is still signing.

Yeah, find a wired LAN network and start from there.

Okay here is my status I'm throwing in the towel!! I was able to stictch my fw with my blobs then figured I was in , open iTunes shift restore selected my new stitched fw but to no avail error 1600 I'm sick!! Anybody have ant tricks ?

I just saved my shsh for my Iphone 4 with TinyUmbrella from Apple's Server right now and the version saved was 5.1.1 (9B206)

A 1600 error is usually caused when restore custom firmware. I have heard that it is easy to get around by using iREB to restore.

For some reason I could not get Redsn0w with custom firmware and stiched shsh to work with iTunes a couple days ago with IOS 5.0.1 either. No matter what I kept getting error 21. Even with iReb to put the Iphone in Pwned DFU mode.

However iFaith worked perfect the first try. However iFaith has not been updated for 5.1.1 yet

For your error make sure the host file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
has no reference to gsm.apple.com. Delete any line that has gsm.apple.com

Also make sure your Phone is Pwned DFU Mode

i had the same issue with stitching than found out it will not work with windows xp so i tried my laptop n walla hope this helps

well just finished n now differnt error it said the server was not found or not available let me ask you this now that i erased everything in my hosts file that had to do with apple im i suppose to add something or just leave it set to 127.7... local host

Leave the following entries in the hosts file.
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

Delete this entry.

Well I have TU on a third computer and I still dont get no 5.1.1, not even the new one.

Could my IP be banned by apple ??

Read somewhere 9b208 has to do with AT&T and the 4G network bug fix of some kind. And NO absinthe 2.0.1 will not work with this build.

And it's highly unlikely Apple released the update due to the jailbreak. Otherwise they would released it to all devices.

Well guys, after a day of struggling, hair pulling, mind bashing failure to update to 5.1.1 on both my iPhone 3gs and iPhone 4 a further try today and it worked first time on both.

So I suspect it was something to do with wither Apple or my internet supplyer.

I can confirm that we are still on 06 and not 08.

Hey, question for y'all. iPhone 4s 5.0.1, trying to restore so I can install 5.1.1. My issue is I keep getting iTunes error 21 whenever it talks to Apple to verify restore. I first blamed TU, since I checked 'set hosts to Cydia on exit,' but I changed that and I keep getting the same error. I can return to my previous jailbroken state by using the 'exit recovery' button in TU. Any fixes to this anyone knows about? I'd love to get this restore completed. Thanks!

*UPDATE: Turns out TU was the issue, but I had to restart my entire computer after unchecking that box. Hope this helps someone else with the same issue!

yeah 9B206 have wireless password problem(phone not remember passwords), i hope in new releasse 9B208 is fixed. im waiting for redsn0w to make custom fimrware with preserved baseband And with 9B206, personal hotspot not exist, such a shame
