Different firmware options

I am getting ready to upgrade my jailbroken Ipad2 (wifi) and Iphone4 firmwares.
Ipad firmware I have seen these, which is the correct one?

Which jailbreak tool is best for a windows xp or 7?

5.1.1 for ipad and 5.1.1 9b208 for iphone 4, upgrade and hit set up as new instead of restore from backup then just run absinthe and your good

Well I got my Ipad2 updated to 5.1.1
I did keep getting errors, first it was 1645 and then I started getting 1604 and here is what I
did to finally get it to work. Once Itunes gave me the error again I left the Ipad alone but just closed Itunes and then restarted it and it said it was in DFU mode and needed to be restored
and hit restore and this time it worked, now Im on 5.1.1 now JB time then I start my iphone.
