hi,

this will work on all 3G/3GS with baseband 6.15. the benefit is, the GPS will start working again. FU or not, it's irrelevant because there's ultrasn0w for locked phones.

@letmemsg @eriksmets yep any 3G/3GS above 05.13.04 can be temporarily updated to 06.15 BB for the purpose of downgrading to 05.13.04

Many 3GS users were first time Iphone owners and first time JB'er/Unlockers. Not being experienced with exactly how the processed worked, they were unaware that updating their OS in preparation for a JB would also update their baseband to an unlockable version.

While I am happy MuscleNerd has found a 6.15 downgrade solution, I wonder two things:
(1) How involved and technical it is? If I recall, DevTeam and others irreversibly bricked a number of phones attempting to downgrade. I would not be surprised if you do not get this downgrade just right it will fry the radio chip.

(2) How well this was downgrade was tested! I don't want to downgrade to get my GPS functionality back only to find out this hack wasn't properly tested and now something else has doesn't work or glitches.

This is exactly and on point that sort of stupidness i talked about .

Question:
Why i never had this issue ?

And no iam not so smart and i don't pretend it it as if it would be this way.But it always was enought to read and inform myself b4 i take any action on something i dont have any plan about.

Answer:
Perhaps iam not that sort of folks who hooks up his idevice and updates his idevice to the latest firmware to learn afterwards that this wasnt such a good idea.Reading in advance can save you from flaming like i do here.

That is what stupids and normal people differs IMO. If you dont have an idea , go and learn .

If not .Deal with 06.15.00

There is no excuse for that.06.15.00 ist the mark of shame .

I know that i dont make myself any more popular then iam already .

But this is a free country and i dont keep my oppinion for me when it is obviously that some people deserved what they got for their inability to read in advance about updating to the latest firmware as jailbreak user.

Afterwards when the kid has already drowned, they are suddenly willing to read and learn. Too late this time.

Oh i forgot about the accidently updated devices where my little sister or my cat hooked up my idevice and updated it .

I know all these story's and all lead to the same verdict.

And to make this clear without a doubt : If i would have been that stupid , i would admit it .

It is not the problem to be stupid if you are able to learn .But if people dont admit that they were stupid @ that point ,they didnt learned anything @ all imo .

And then they come up and tryen to tell me/us story's about how the device updated itself and crab like that.

I got the phone like this.
I have been jailbreaking since the day I got the iphone 2G and have researched always before I have done any updates.

Your post count may be high but you have the manners of a mountain goat.
People make mistakes and sometimes they will do things out of desperation
in hope more than anything else..

BTW stupids isn't a word

I'm not into this form of abuse maybe you're having a bad day.
