Ipad 3 Respring

Hi guys,

I have an Ipad 3 5.1.1 jailbroken with absinthe 2.0 , sometimes when i respring from sbsetting it takes forever to respring. I am forced to do hard reset. Do you have the same issue or is related with absinthe 2.0 and should i use the new one instead. Thanks

What else do you have installed? I used 2.0 on mine and the resprings are surprisingly fast. If all else fails, restore and rejailbreak with 2.0.4.

I had same the problem and restored and used 2.0.4 and now no problems. BTW I did not restore backup I treated iPad as a new device. Do not install a lot of add-ons keep it close to stock. The only thing I'm running is basics - Mobile Substrate, SBsettings, Lockinfo, Remove Background SBSetting, Firewall and LockInfo. Oh and AppSync. Runs great.

I can't see why it would take so long...

I respring all the time on my iPad 3 (jailbroken with Absinthe 2.0), and it takes no more than five seconds each time. In addition, I have 38 tweaks installed, as well as a Winterboard theme with five different add-on packages. My iPad still resprings like it did when I first jailbroke it.

If I were you, I would just take Fight9's advice: Restore and re-jailbreak.

Nope, not with me. I get those white icons all the time when I sync my iPad and I either remove an app or add one. I just respring, as usual, and it still only takes five seconds; no getting stuck.

i have this problem with sbsettings, i cant be arsed to rejailbreak (jailbroke with 2.0.1 and everything else works just dandy so im happy) so i just use springtomize to respring, works like a dream.

i also get the white icons sometimes when installing from installous but a springtomize respring sorts it in 5 seconds or so.

i used Absinthe 2.0.4 but still got the same problem. i just install installous, iunlock and springtomize 2. however, after a hard reset, it seems normal for 3-4 next resprings. keep checking whether it still happens or not

Hate to tell you but you will have to restore and rejailbreak as a new device to really fix this since you do not think it is a tweak you added.

Do you have a lot of app store apps installed? I have had this problem and I have restored about ten times now over the last few weeks so I have a good knowledge of what causes this, for me anyways!

Every time it's the same, I restore and re jailbreak using latest absinthe 204 and then install my many purchased cydia tweaks, there's a lot of tweaks running under MobileSubstrate but resprings and general performance is very fast no matter how many tweaks are running... Until I do one thing, install all my app store apps! At which point resprings go from a few seconds to sometimes nearly 20 seconds!

It doesn't matter how long I leave the app store apps uninstalled, hours or days, speedy and fresh until I install them! I really would like to know why this happens...

Disabling "LibHide" in your mobile substrate add ons has always fixed the white icon problem for me in the past.
