IPHONE 4S FORGOT PASSWORD -- HELP !!

Hey Everyone.

I forgot my iPhone 4s password -_- I entered it wrong 3 times and now it's telling me to connect to iTunes.

I understand I need to put into DFU mode and restore using firmware, but I'm very WORRIED about my PICTURES.

Any IDEA of how i can get my pictures , or even better, just get passed the passcode screen?

It is a SPRINT iPhone 4s. Does Jailbreaking rid the passcode? if so, will I lose files?

jailbreaking will not get rid of the passcode. but it can give you afc2 access which you can use to get into your phone via usb file browsers like ifunbox,itunnel or cyberduck

but there is no guarantee that you will be able to get in to it that way if it says iphone disabled.

which btw usually when you enter it wrong 3 or how ever many times is neededthe first time it says locked for 1 minute then its normal
if that is the case then yes you can jailbreak and use ssh or afc2 featues to get into the device using the above listed programs or a SSH client. BUT if it is saying connect to itunes IPHONE DISABLED
then you have entered the code more than three times usually that's why it is now disabled. if it is disabled then you are very muchly screwed because it is an A5(x) device and not A4 or lower. meaning there are so far no fixes for that problem yet.

so can you please clarify is it disabled or do you just have the locked for x minutes countdown timer?

It's disabled, connect to itunes.
is it possible to do a backup via Itunes? That way I don't mind restoring it, because I assume the pictures backup ?

....i just try this and i have enter more then 3 time and it doesnt tell me to connect to itunes (very suspicious)...from what your saying your not jailbroken right? you dont care about unlock or is your phone factory unlock? if so just restore and choose from backup.

This is a friends phone, idk what she did but it said to connect to itunes too many error.

and no its not jailbroken nor does she care if its unlocked because she's on Sprint network anyways

the pictures would back up usually but because it is disabled itunes will not permit the phone to do anything other than be restored. you're kind of stuck now. if it was an iphone 4 or prior model you could use the geeko toolkit to remove the iphone disabled error. but A5(x) devices are not supported at this time because they do not have a bootrom exploit like limera1n.

aside from that i know of no other options for you other than a restore. but there is a lot of users here and a lot of info on the site so you never know you might get lucky.

sucks to have to lose your data though. hopefully you wont have to. but it looks that way for now....

doesnt itunes backup your phone when we restore it? if so he can just choose : set up from backup when it let him...

well as a default itunes backs up the device everytime it is plugged in when itunes is running.
but depending on when it was last synced with the computer XX amount of data can be lost. if it was yesterday or a couple days ago then not much should be lost but its better to cut your losses and lose maybe 10 photots some videos and a few texts rather than the entire pool of data on the device. so depends when it was last synced. you can do a restore and then restore from backup. but check when the last backup was done before you do that.

when u restore, itunes asked for you to unlock phone with passcode, if you put in dfu mode, you can restore, but one thing comes to mind is, does she have iCloud? or at least photostream enabled?? she can get her pics back that way.

I do not believe Gecko works with the 4S. I'm in the same predicament and haven't had any luck.

jailbreak it with redsn0w, it will install afc automatically giving you access to the filesystem regardless of password or not. use itools or iphone browser goto /var/mobile/Media/DCIM copy folder 100APPLE these are all your photo's in the camera roll when finished turn off iphone hold home button connect cable and now it will boot to recovery mode (no passcode needed) click restore. you will now have all your photos on your computer and a working iphone. you can even use itools and put back all the photos onto the iphone.

I tried the latest version of redsn0w (0.9.14ba) with my iPhone 4S and attempted to Jailbreak it. It didn't work. The software says "Sorry, that isn't supported yet on the iPhone 4S". Am I doing something wrong? I followed the instructions to put my phone in DFU mode. Please help.

I just tried that and got the same result.

"Sorry, that isn't supported yet on the iPhone 4S"

I am running Win 7 - 64bit. Ran redsn0w as Administrator. Clicked on "Jailbreak". With the iPhone 4S powered on, I followed the instructions to hold the power, then the power and home, then only the home. In the end, still got the above "Sorry..." message.

What am I doing wrong here? This is the latest version of Redsn0w. ???? I'm confused.

Same problem here phone is locked out will not go go into dfu can not get in by itunes poison does not work . It says phone pass word protected cant jail brake . Does any body have a fix

The only thing you can do is connect to iTunes and restore, and she will lose all data to the last time she backed up, hopefully she had cloud backup enabled, and she won't lose much. Oh and it should be restored on her computer.

Use iTool to backup your contact/photos/Videos/ and connect itunes and restore it to latest ios firmware 5.1.1. Hope it will help.

What does "absinthe" do ??
