Need Advice on Clean Upgrade to 5.1.1

Hi everyone! I could use some advice on doing a upgrade to 5.1.1 on my 3gs. I'm currently Jailbroken, new bootrom on 4.3.3 and with 05.13.04 BB. So can I just do just a normal restore thru iTunes, or should I use a custom firmware to preserve my baseband?

Also, does the factory 5.1.1 firmware update the BB at all?

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

do a custom to preserve bandbase use snowbreeze

doing through itunes will update BB

Thanks! I just found out that 5.1.1 updates your BB to 05.16.05.

So is there any advantages or disadvantages if iTunes updates
the baseband to 05.16.05?

only need to preserve if you need unlock, if you dont require unlock just update via itunes

That's great! Don't need to unlock, because I've been with the
same carrier for about 6 years now.

I would still preserve the baseband just in case you want to sell it in the future.
At least you know it can be unlocked.
