Installous and SSH

So hello I am new and while I do intend to help others out and start learning more about jailbreaking and cydia, although I have been a active jailbreaker for quite some time I have much to learn!

Ive got a problem. I have a Iphone 4S factory unlocked i bought, now this device has no problems but... so this phone is jailbroken and has installous with app sync and open ssh installed. I can sync with i-funbox no problem and drops apps into the download folder and install works no problem.

Now when I do this for my wifes phone, which is iphone 4, also unlocked... and jailbroken I will drop the .ipa into installous and sync. She also has app sync and open ssh installed. I install and the apps wont open for her...

Is this something to with how the app was cracked say on A5 devices so that it wont work on Iphone 4 than or what could it be?

Mind me these are apps, mostly apps Ive download from Itunes or from my iphones itunes store and just copied to installous onto her phone... It doesnt work... What could it be?

It worked before when her phone was locked to att. Were both using 5.1.1.. I installed some apps through itunes by syncing it on my computer worked that way but now I cant sync mine and wipe her data...
ideas?

Try using iTools to install the app. I find that it works a lot better than Installous.

i must admit im not sure how to use itools or where to get it or put it but i have heard of it . this is not a joke

It's pretty easy to use.

Go to AppStore and download a FREE app then relaunch your other apps.

This will fix the problem hopefully.

I have downloaded freestore from cydia and install0us but an error pops up saying ipa how can I get the free apps? How do I get the ipa? Please help

Normally when install0us comes up with an .ipa error you should reinstall appsync and install0us. That's what Ive seen from looking around the internet. But be careful with install0us it can cause problems because it is not from a trusted repo. It should work but make sure to use it "clean" by not over-downloading and if you have iwipecache or another similar program it might help to keep your phone running smoothly.

im not a veteran jailbreaker, but this is what i do and it seems to run ok.
the only problem i have found is when downloading a game not all of the DL links work. so if a game doesnt have any DL links working try to ssh an .ipa onto your phone instead. this can be tricky but i found a link that can help:
