Invalid Sim Issue

Today i woke up to Invalid Sim on my 6 months old iPhone 4s. I thought my sim was messed up but then i ejected my sim tray and it still showed Invalid Sim then i tried airplane mode still didnt help finally respring still nothing.
Last resort restarted and everything was fine until it then it happened again in the evening.

Anyone else in the same boat?
Any info on this issue?

I have already encountered this three times today.
I will try resetting the network settings though I dont think it is software related issue or maybe its just too early to reach a conclusion.
I was thinking of replacing the sim card if the problem still exist then obviously a restore will be needed.

Could it be Itunes playing up?
Have you modified your hosts file?

I know your phone is meant to be unlocked, when my provider unlocked mine which was restricted to vodafone they told me to update the phone to the latest version of IOS and wait for itunes to unlock the phone - thats why I mentioned it, I guess something happens server side. I know you said that u had it unlocked to begin with but just thought about trying something different thats all.

Have you tested the sim in another phone? could be a dud sim?

Mine started doing the same exact thing a couple of days ago. In the end I did a fresh restore and got stuck at the activation screen in which I could not get passed. I did another restore with a cooked firmware to bypass activation, but it still would tell me either invalid sim or just no service.

So, fresh restore with official firmware may block you at activation screen and not let you go further. I have nothing else to provide cuzz I am still stuck trying to find another solution. Problem with mine is a factory lock I am told.
