iPhone 4s... Battery, Reception and No Earpiece sound issues...
Ok, to put it simply, I have an iPhone 4s, and Ive built it from its insides out.
i feel there are parts missing inside, tiny seemingly insignificant things. but its those things that are ruining the whole phone..
the Battery life is super bad, almost 5 percent a minute.. the fact is, ive changed the battery and it hasnt helped.
the signal is ok i guess, but it could definately be better, as i feel it should be, as its meant to be.
the home button also is either too sensitive, or just unresponsive.. i cant decide.. same goes with the power button..
also joining the parade, the earpiece is dead.. my faaavvvouriiteee...
its running iOS 6 Beta 3. I am a dev.

Ear piece sounds like a connection issue
Home button is either the ribbon or the button better of to replace it as it comes as one piece and only cost $2 or so
If you've built it from ground up chances are you may have damaged a pin along the way
Or maybe you have compromised a connection with the oil on your fingers
Do you have all the connections filled on the motherboard?
All the antenna's?
Have you watched some if it video's
---------- EDIT ----------
Also I have heard of inferior parts; screen ect can cause battery drain that a new battery will never fix.
Have you tried restoring to 5.1.1?

I'm a iPhone repair tech at a repair shop. I'll be posting a video soon about the FULL uncut disassembly of the phone. I'll be making a youtube channel. I'll post it tomorrow.

when you take out the mainboard you can see the ear speaker
measure the ear speaker with a meter and get someone to talk or blow on the ear speaker
if the values are changing on the ear speaker it don't need replacing
just lift the terminals so they make a good connection when you refit the board
if you don't get changing values on the meter then swap out the ear speaker

aright, thanks to all so far, as i'm going, i'm learning the different issues it has more intimately.
the battery issue is due to 3G. i had it on 55% for a few hours till it got to 20%, and i was listening to music and watching youtube, searching on the net.. twittering tumbling and so on.. no compromises, no battery drain evident.. it was on plane mode with wifi on.
the earpiece, ill have to mess with the assembly of, but thanks for the reader idea, I'll check that, i know it worked before the chassis replacement (AAAAHHHHH, that was left out.. I had to replace the chassis, the phone was run over by a semi-tralier on a rainy day.. that said, it had proven to be untouched by water and undamaged logica-board-wise) the chassis was bent and snapped, the board inside was fine, as was all else... (I'll also note, ive completely reconstructed 3g, 3gs, 4 and now 4s and ive been at it for a good year or more now.. im no pro, but im far from stupid.) all was clean installs, all was meant to be perfect, however, i believe i noticed the home button flex was odd (from china, i have an original OEM one, so ill swap and see how it goes) and the earpiece is also chinese, ill swap it for the OEM one shall I... as for the battery life, if i could have the importane of the tiny metal grounds and so on, that'd be great, and as for antennas, a pictorial would be much appreciated.
---------- EDIT ----------
left this out too, I'm a dev, and this phone's running (supposedly running, as it seems not to recognise it completely i.e. iTunes says its on iOS6.0 but it tries to "Update" it to 5.1.1) Beta 3, OTA of 6.0
i cannot restore, or update.. its lost.. doesnt know what to think it is.. i think ive encountered it a few times in OTAs, the uncertainty of its FW version.
NEVER jailbroken btw
---------- EDIT ----------
i realize i hadn't left a few of those details out, but reiterating cant hurt
---------- EDIT ----------
btw turn 3g off, = searching
---------- EDIT ----------
I cant turn off 3g, otherwise i dont have a signal..

...took it to work yesterday, after i thought id done something to fix the battery life a little.. all was fine till i tried to use 3g and get my contacts back from my iCloud.. it ran so hot i had to take it out of my pants while i was working, and im not allowed to have my phone on me at all.. yet yeah, i felt it was going to actually explode so i had no choice... it was roughly 35-40 degrees (Celsius) and it went from 100% to 16% in less than 2 hours.... so, 84% decided to piss out of every hole in my handy work... how could it POSSIBLY use 84% in standby in two hours, surely its bad assembly.

but as said, no water damage nor logic board damage occurred. my issues may stem from an incomplete repair. i may have left something out, or not cleaned something.. its all i know that'd explain this.. like leaving the top screw of the EMF plate results in signal loss if not lack completely of signal for wifi on iphone 4. there's got to be something i missed in the reconstruction regarding the battery life, actually, more precisely, the signal quality and frequency range.

I've since dis-assembled and re-assembled it, and i've come to the conclusion that the arial antenna area is maybe the cause, due to the fact that it CAN get a signal, it CAN, but it CANT use data from the signal, even if its 3g.. it just gets super-fuck'off hot and feel like its about to explode.. literally, absolutely honest here, proper melting point temperature.

after an overnight test (seeing how much drain occurred) and setting it out fresh (Completely, NO backing up, NO restoring contacts...so on) i've found this..
it DOES get data over 3g.. it holds battery almost perfectly, lost 3 percent overnight.. all left as was..
it however does NOT, and i believe this is the issue narrowed down here.. get any signal other than 3g...
it ONLY gets 3g...
with 3g off, its searching.
so it has no other range of signal... no edge, no 2g.
without the lower signals, going into areas like my work, or school with lower to no signal for 3g will result in the phone looking frantically for any signal.. and struggling with the little to no 3g in the area, drains it FAST.. and makes it HOT.
SO
I conclude that this phone's Antenna system is at fault..
something is wrong that stayed through a whole chassis re-vamp.
I'm thinking something may be wrong with the dock antenna, or the underside antenna cable on the logic board, that runs up and along the board. any other 3g/2g/edge related components i should be investigating?

I'll add, the camera is in, and operational, however, its unclear and finds it impossible to focus on things. blurry. ill fix that separately.
