T-Mobile MMS-USA Patching CommCenter (Does not work with Gevey users)

Note: this patch only work on unlocked device users and on all devices running IOS 5.0, 5.0.1 . For all devices recently unlocked from at&t and does not work with any device using Gevey sim

Download : T-Mobile_MMS_IOS5.0-1.rar

Instructions:

1 Download T-Mobile_MMS_IOS5.0-1.rar and unrar the package on your pc

2 Install ios5.commcenter.patch.deb file to your phone using iFile or iFunbox or Cydia\AutoInstall which ever easy for you (Note: when install CommCenter patch make sure you have no simcard on your phone)

It also works on all unlocked devices running IOS 4.x.x but you have to install CommCenter Patch for IOS 4.x.x
Download it here:
CommCenter Patch.rar

3 This is important part you need to do exactly:

Make sure that you have iTunes running and your phone connected to PC while doing this procedure

Click the Windows Logo/Start Button
in the search box type cmd

once you see it in the list
right click on cmd and select Run As Administrator.

once the Command Prompt Opens you will see it says

C:WindowsSystem32

you type cd/ and hit enter

now you will be at the C: prompt

now type the following command

cd Program Files (x86)iTunes then press enter

now you should be at

C:Program Files (x86)iTunes

OK here is where you get commcenter patch to work
"Again make sure you are running iTunes and your phone is connected to PC"

with you having C:Program Files (x86)iTunes type this command

iTunes.exe /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
and press enter

nothing will happen
"Meaning nothing will change on the screen and no conformation will be displayed"

but if you go to itunes now and hold shift and click Check for Updates you will now be able to select the file you want

goto iTunes hold shift and click on Check for Updates a open file dialog window will come on the screen.

Browse to the folder where your carrier file located which you downloaded above (the t-mobile carrier file should be " TMobile_us_ios5.0.1.ipcc " )

on the bottom-right of the open file dialog window you will see a drop-down box "File Type Box"

you need to change it from ipsw to ipcc file type and you items will show up now

after selecting the file you want you will see a loading screen that last for less then a second then leaves

and that is it all should be done now.

Note:

Steps to do to install T-Mobile carrier file:
Connect iphone -> itunes -> shift + check for updates --> choose the carrier file you want

Reboot iphone -> take out sim --> place back in --> wait for signal

100% WORKING - TESTED.

Just got it to work.. had to figure out a way for the Mac OSX version:

1. Copy the Tmboile_us.-ios5.1.1.ipcc onto the desktop
2. Open Terminal.app
3. Type "sudo defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE"
4. Open iTunes & plug in your phone.
5. Click on your device in iTunes (under device settings inside computer iTunes).
6. Hold down ALT/Option and click on Check for Update
7. A dialog box will open for you to select. Select the IPCC you put on the desktop.
8. Let the process complete, then quit iTunes.
9. Take out the SIM card and reboot the iDevice
10. Let it start up fully again. Then put the SIM card back in, and it'lll take a few minutes. Ta-Da!

Everything was fine up till the part when i had to change it from ipsw to ipcc.
There's only Ipsw showing up from the selection box. I have itunes 10.6.1.7
which is the latest one i guess. Any ideas how to fix this?

after ipcc installation, should i also add a tmobile_us.bundle to the carrier bundle directory, and if so, should i do this before or after reboot?
