here's what i did on all my family 4s Tmobile USA (ditch Gevey Ultra S for now) could not activate facetime with gevey period....I did removed edited carrier plist (011...)back to default. Switch to Sam unlocked old version used, pick Tmobile USA as carrier and sim id, activated thru itunes perfectly, push notification works, Facetime and iMessage automatically activated after signing on,asking for sms charges may apply, click ok.....finally i can use facetime with my phone number....even better signal 4 to 5 bars in my location all the time..big thanks Sambinger.....

Hey guys im runnning on iOS 5.0.1 on BB 1.0.14 unlocked with gevey ultra S on my iphone 4s. I tried this and was only able to get the Cellular Data Network tab which was great. I couldn't get iMessage and FT working so I got over it but I did manage to mess up some of my bundles...
I was hoping one of you guys would be so kind as to upload their Carrier Bundles like the ATT folder, and the T-Mobile folders if you could? I'd rather not do a restore...

Also I did notice that same problem Tronglle24 had with it not showing up as ATT 11 anymore but instead as "Not Available"

Any help with those files would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to restore all my carrier bundles without having to do a restore in iTunes but now I accidentally lost all my files like 00FAC and 00101 and all those little numbered files. Could anybody help with posting their originals up? Please.


Also...I tried to do a restore in Itunes to 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4S by pressing Shift-Restore but I kept getting the 3194 error no matter what I did. I used tiny umbrella to uncheck the set hosts to cydia on exit and also edited the host files in system32 and still no luck. Has anybody been able to restore their iphone 4s with stock 5.0.1?

I followed the steps and iMEssage and Facetime where activated however i can only recieve on my Apple ID. I need help on how to get it to work with my phone number. I can upload pictures if neccasery

I'm in a similar situation as InMyMental, I'm using an iPhone 4S on 5.1.1 using a Gevey Ultra S. My service works fine, my only issue is that I can't activate my phone number on iMessage and Facetime. I tried the methods that were listed in this thread but had no luck. Any ideas on how to fix it?

ok guys still haven't got this to work yet. i have a i4 running iOS 5.1.1 BB 4.10.01 gevey ultra to unlock. i edited the plist files in plist editor for windows and backed up/transferred files using DiskAid. dunno maybe it's cuz i'm trying to activate to a carrier that's not T-mobile?? I Live in Belize (in the Caribbeans) and our carrier is BTL Digicell can this be the issue? it says imsg and FT are activated but when i send a message it says not delivered; FT calls fail.

Yea like i've tried everything but i can only recieve it on apple ID. Its fully activated along with Facetime. Smh someone needs to figure this out lol..

Hi, what steps did you follow to get your imessage activated?? I just wanted to be 100% certain before I go about following the same. PLEASE HELP! I have the same specs and cannot get imsg/ft working for the life of me!

I found this solution in another website but not sure if it'd work with red pocket. It says it works with t mobile. Not printing website, just trying to help out people

I dont think getting imessage and facetime to activate is a problem. I followed the steps and both were activated...its just that i can receive them only on my Apple ID and not my phone number. Activating it with phone number is the problem.

The guy in the guide says that he's using iMessages and FaceTime with his phone number and not his apple ID. I'm on red pocket so I don't know if this method works with red pocket as well

You first need to patch the comm center for iPhone 4s then only edited carrier will work I had also tried every other thing but none work except it .you need not to add the 011 ,just patch the comm center , reboot ,and the number from carrier which you are using your phone with copy it from that carrier plots and change it with the carrier plist with which your phone is locked.

is there a way that you can do this process without activating with SAM or using a ATT sim card? I am a iPhone 4s user on 5.1.1 and unlocked with Gevey Ultra S and everything works fine except i can NOT get my imessages to send from my phone number.

Hi there,

I'm kinda new on this unlocking apple devices so please, be patient with me.

I have bought an 16G iPhone 4g firmware 4.3.3 from a re-seller here in Bolivia about 1 year ago and I'm using a GEVEY SIM. I was never bother for not making face calls then as we didn't have the technology to do so. but now that we have, facetime calls cannot be done. When I activate facetime on the phone, (it was off all the time 'till now), it comes with the "waiting for activation" message. and the message has remained there for the last three or four days.

So I plead the forum, is there anyway for me to activate this service new in Bolivia that doesn't involve breaking or do I have to buy me another phone?. Icon9
