Anyone having skygo problems

Hi.

I have been using the old version of skygo on my iPhone
And iPad but today they both say "unable to connect. App needs wifi or data connection"
I have tried removing and reinstalling both apps but it is still not working.

Is it just me or is anyone else the same ?

HI Mate

Ive found a fix.
Using ifile go into the sykgo app and find a file called "info.plist"
edit the file and you will see near the bottom a reference to 2.1.1 change this to 2.2.1 and reboot your phone.
It will work again after that.

Thanks worked for me on my iPad, yet still can't get to work on iPhone, both running same firmware, gonna try on other iPad now

HI,.

Anytime is not working at the moment.
I dont know why I think we will have to wait for a new patched version.

Sometimes I have had to remove the app, reinstall it and then edit the plist before logging in.

It took me a few attempts to work out what you were referring to.

I thought you were referring to line 32 "string>2.2.1</string>"

Which I did first but it did not work.

Rather than to line 85 "<string>http://assets.mobile-tv.sky.com/skygo/config/2.2.1/config-live.xml</string>"

But once I changed both it is working again.

I had the patched version installed and when i edit the plist file and rebooted
my iphone 4 on 5.1.1 the app gets deleted. Installed it again from cydia using
installous but the same thing again. Plz help !!!

Strange. Ive not heard of this.

I would delete the app from your iphone including from inside Installous
Then download from cydia and install.
Before you run it edit the Plist as above and then reboot your phone.

See if that works

Found the problem.
I had xcon installed from another repo .
Uninstalled that and then installed SkyGo plus xcon patched.
One thing i have noticed now is that when i go into info plist,there is no
2.1.1 any where in there to edit. But after rebooting the phone, SkyGo is working
fine.
Just to make sure if after SkyGo working went into info plist but still there is no
2.1.1 or 2.2.1 strange

If you have installed the patched version from xcon it is set as 2.3 so it looks newer than the real version.

Also there is a new patched version avaliable on the xcon repo.

Just tried it and it works with out having to edit any files with ifile

You need to uninstall old app, reboot, install new app, reboot and it should work ok
