network issue on ios 5.1.1

i am facing problems with iphone 4s .....the phone keeps on searching for network again and again........after finishing search....netywork would be available with full signal bars....but after 5 minutes it would again start searching......plzzzz help...

Is it unlcoked and are you on its official carrier
Try resetting the network settings (settings - general - reset)

it is unlocked....jailbroken via absinthe.......it was originally from thailand and i am using it in india.........
i tried doing a network reset did not help.....

What method of unlocking are you using?

it was unlocked when i opened it from the box itself......

you must check with your phone carrier and view the settings on your iphone,general,network,
cellular data, because sometimes on your "MMS" settings URL "you have to put it manualy or
the WAP settings or the APN settings,grab another cell phone and try to compair thise settings and manualy put them on your iphone

i have cellular data turned off.....but still it persists....i called the carrier but they have no solution.......

hv u tried switching sim bcuz sometimes if sim is wrongly cut it wont work
