yesterday my gf had to call att to activate the sim that was mailed along with her iPhone 4s. They asked for the IMEI and ICCID numbers. She had to do a reboot and it worked.

You need to stop and take a big breath. People are trying to help you, but you are not helping yourself. You need to give more information, like somebody has already asked, what error codes are you getting, if any?

Are you using the latest version of iTunes, and have all processes running associated with iTunes ???

Also to me it sounds like it could be a dodgy sync cable, try a different one.

Things to try.

Make sure itunes is up to date with the latest version

Try an original cable

Try different USB port

Try different computer

Make sure your computer has internet access.......
