Iphone help

OK i recived an iPhone 4 from a friend and it wasn't working. I tried to jailbreak it now it is stuck in DFU mode. I know for a fact the screen and battery are ok. I have recived every itunes error I an get and still nothing. I know about the reset home/sleep 10 sec relese ect. I've tried everything I can think of. I've downloaded other IPSW and pressed Shift restore and used them. I have redsn0w green poision ect. I've deleted the cydia part of the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc host files. Pleases help. try to restore to factory settings in itunes, then jailbreak with absinthe on ios 5.1.1

It keeps giving me error after error the last one is 1600 and 1618. And keeps going back to a black screen. I've tried both my computers and all 3 of my other iPhones update just fine. I don't really care about jailbreaking or if it gets reset. I just want to get the phone on.

Ok tried that. No go. Error 1602 1601 1600. I tried the "fix recover" button on tiny umbrella. That didn't work either. Anyone have another suggestion. Hoping it's not F'd up!

Still nothing. Starting to get feeed up with this piece. I've tried 100 different combinations. I've downloaded Redsnow, greenpoison, snowbreeze, tinyumbrella, ireb, even fixrecovery. I have multiple ipsw's from 4.1.2-5.1.1. i've unhooked the battery put in a know good battery. I even tried to restore without the battery in the phone. I think one of the problems is the fact that i didn't know the version that was on the phone in the first place. I tried to just factory restore. all to no avail. I'm at a loss. Is there anything i haven't tried? Any help suggestion will be nice i'll try anything.
