I have an iPhone 3G that is locked to T-Mobile Germany I think. I have attemped numerous unlocking instructions. I have got it to activate but it still won't give me a signal.
Can anyone help please

this method dosnt work..
if u have a iphone 3G. upgrade to ipad baseband n then downgrade to 5.13.04 using redsn0w and then install untrasn0w. u should be unlocked

Got that and crrently downgrading from iPad baseland but how do I downgrade from that and unlock the phone?

Since Apple is now blocking GSX information requests I've figured out a way to find out what carrier your iphone is locked to or originally locked (if it is now unlocked) to by using itools and the MobileSubscriberCountryCode and the MobileSubscriberNetworkCode in view details in itools
so if you want to know what carrier your iPhone is locked to download itools (WINDOWS VERSION ONLY) at iTools.hk on the main screen click view details and write down the MobileSubscriberCountryCode and the MobileSubscriberNetworkCode send it to me and I'll let you know for free of course!!!

So.... Just making sure. I have an iphone 4 with 5.0.1 with a BB of 4.11.08. Now, there is no other way of unlocking my iPhone 4 for Tmobile (USA) network other than unlocking it with a factory unlock?!?!?

Baseband 04.12.02 is not unlockable with software such as ultrasn0w/SAM or hardware such as GEVEY. Your only option is a factory unlock. There is a sinful iPhone member unlock service that you can check out here > Permanent Factory Unlock service for Sinful members - SiNfuL iPhone you will need to check your carrier and IMEI status first, there's links provided in the thread to do just that.
