I see it as blindly believing there is a "best" phone and the one they own is it. I've seen plenty of people who bash Android since iPhone is the best phone. And everyone bashes webOS although most haven't used it. They hear its laggy, OMFG IT IS A SLOW PIECE OF SHIT-JUNK. It's sad actually.

no offense. I have been on Mac computers for over 20 years. I have been argued down for owning a mac omputer. and we are talking back in the 90's its the same hostility I would imagine on some sub psyche level, this is people justifying why everyone has something, and they don't. cause at this point, almost everyone I know owns an iPhone. and the few and far between people, are either die hard android users, and will argue you down about it, or they bought the wrong phone, and are pissed , cause now everyone has an iPhone and they have to wait. so they argue you down about it. or they are broke as a joke. and are ashamed, so they argue you down about it.

point is, without a doubt, apple has been making hardware with software for many years. sure they buy their parts from other places. but they build a nice device. no matter what it is. and people resent that. I have argued so much about it, when the iPhone took off. I just made a point to self to smile and nod at these people.

I don't even know why Android users hate on iOS so much when they don't even own an iOS. They should engrave this into their thick skulls: if you don't own it then why hate on it?

iOS has no real argument over which is better(same goes with Android). People say iOS is better because you could jailbreak it and install anything what Android has. You do realize that there is a limit on how much you could install on iOS? If you install too much tweaks then you will encounter all sort of problems; like your battery will drain, ram will decrease, crashes, penis, brick devices, etc. Also Cydia has a limit. Once the partition is full then you can't install shit. I'm not saying Android is better because of that, but some people only argument is jailbreaking.

Example (99% of jailbreakers will say this in an argument):
Q: Why is iOS better than Android?
99% of people: because you could jailbreak it.

Basically both OS are great. Android has the most features, you could customize it, and you could root it. iOS is optimized, easy to use, has an amazing UI, and you could jailbreak it. Both are equally the same to me.

i guess the difference between them and us here is that we've used android before or at least experienced it..them fanboys probably havent touched an iDevice before yet have the gall to bash it without really having any basis for their arguments..i own both and i just cant see anything on android that really would make idevice users switch..it has been said before on previous posts, ios is optimized, simple, easy to use and apple makes the most elegant hardware for it.
another plus is the community like the one we have at sinful, i mean the site owner the mods down to my fellow posters are just great, i always recommend this site to my friends when it comes to iphone concerns..

Im guessing its because android users feel thier are living in the shadows and wanting to "get one up" on thier iphone rivals. Maybe its jelaousy. makes me chuckle when every device released is "an iphone killer" the iphone5 wont be a galaxy S3 killer, it will just be the new iphone.

Ironically, im not bashing android, just something funny ive noticed when looking on thier forums.

1. Amazing UI
2. Easy to use
3. Optimized

Android:
1. More features
2. You could customize it
3. Has everything Apple iOS has
4. You could easily replace your battery

Those idiots that say Apple sucks don't even know how to back their argument up and they don't know what they're talking about. And of course Apple fanboys will say "dude iOS has 20 resons y it is better derp hurr hurr". iOS wins only in hardware and UI, not in features and customizations.

Everyone has their own opinion. If you don't have both devices then STFU. Even if you do have both then the first phone you got would be your main phone because you're used to. Buying a new phone will be different. So no shit people will choose iOS over Android if iOS was their first phone. Same goes if Android was their first phone.

I have never had an Android phone, but I used it before (used my brother and a couple of my friends Android). I liked it because you could do so much more. I'm getting tired of waiting for Apple to implement more custimaztions and bring the "wow" in iOS. Fuck, Android is doing that already. With 4.1 jellybean it will be better than what it used to be.

Example of a "wow" feature they implemented: Smart Updates. You have to admit, it makes updating apps faster and easier. Apple did had a similar feature (called delta updates) but they never implemented in the App Store.

because the freedom they claim they do not have on iOS is something of a myth because they can never produce a solid answer of things easily done on their phone that are so mind blowing and that i simply cannot do because of apple rigid quality controle

IOS kicks androids arse in (my opinion) THE MOST important part of a phone

perfect example is what i did today.

So i did a search and loads and loads of results showed up, worms sound effects, puzzle, card games etc but i couldnt find the team 17 worms game anywhere. God damn this is hard work! I did a search on my pc and found it. It got 2 out of 5 stars. 75% of users say its shit. Crashes, buggy, things happening that they dont expect. does work for most people.

After searching for ages on aptiode and snapzmarket for worms, they didnt download in the end. Crashed halfway through. Its just so much of a mess around getting apps on an android. Thier often out of date and broken anway. Has android got anything even close to installous? nope!

Then over to IOS, worms works perfectly! and of course, only IOS has worms2

my favorite app tomtom is not on android
oasis dating app (that i used to meet ladies before finding my current gf) is IOS only
farmville app is IOS only
numerous facewarp apps i use to make my mates laugh at work are IOS only

Ok so android has removable battery and memory card. Thats actually a brilliant thing.

But animated widgets, rooting, customisation, bigger screen i dont care about.

If i havnt got the apps i want then the phone is just a quad core texting device.

Sure IOS is boring and offers nothing new, but apps is what makes a phone a phone.

Number 3 was meant to be features, not the App Store. Of course iOS beats Android on that.

You don't care about rooting? Why not say 'I don't give a fuck about jailbreaking'. They're basically the same. Also it's basically saying fuck all tweaks on Cydia because they offer customization. So are you saying you hate jailbreaking? Not caring about rooting is basically the same about jailbreaking.

You probably had an iOS first so you think it's better. Remember: the first phone you had is always better than other phones. Buying an Android after the iOS doesn't mean shit because it wasn't the first. If I bought an Android and used it for a year and then used an iOS I'll probaly be hating on it because Android offers more and it was the first phone I bought before i considered buying an iOS.

Apps what makes a phone a phone? People want more in a phone. I could see why they jailbreak because Apple don't even give what the customers want. The only thing they're doing is limiting the customization and features. People want to do what they want on it. Some people don't even play games. Some people only text/call others, watch videos, and browse the Internet. That's what people usually do. Gaming, Media, Calling, Internet, and doing whatever you want on a phone makes a phone a phone, not just gaming.

Do you remember when iOS didn't have the App Store (it was released on a 3G on 2.0.1)? What would you say about the phone then? Texting/calling makes a phone a phone?

Also, most developers release apps on the iOS exclusively and never on the Android. If they release for both then you wouldn't say shit. You shouldn't say anything about the App Store being better when most developers release apps on iOS exclusively. I understand that they make more money on iOS and less on Android, but if they release their apps on both (disregarding that they earn less) it would make your comment about apps what makes a phone a phone mean nothing anymore. What are you going to say now about iOS? Facebook/twitter integration, notifications, FaceFuck, Siri, etc, makes a phone a phone? Android has all that and iOS never had these features until iOS 4/5/6.

Sure Android is buggy and you can't find shit. 4.1 jellybean is going to change that.

There are some really nice android devices, but IMHO Apple has the best OS. If they would simply make a great phone that is a powerhouse phone, then we would not be having this conversation. All Apple devices are integrated, so I can stream from my phone or MAC to the television using Apple tv. I own both by the way. I have a Lenovo Android tablet collecting dust. I rooted it and run all kinds of apps on it, but it is no way near as fun as all the Apple devices and what they can do together. Oh and the battery life on the Lenovo sucks, no real MSN support, video conferencing support in skype, and a host of other reason why I do not use the android tablet. They are updating the apps a lot so i expect fixes soon. Oh, before I forget, lets talk about security :-) The number one reason to have IOS :-) While threats for Android increased by 3 times already this year, IOS users can still rest quite comfortably knowing even jailbroken devices are relatively safe from malware. To be fair, the battery life sucks on all devices. When I had a 4G my batter life lasted only a couple of hours.

Someday they will update their security. If you're device gets infected with a virus then you probably watched porn or visited a website that has a virus. People using an Android device don't even care about it. This is why dumb asses like them have viruses in their phone.

iOS is the best OS because it's easy to use. Android devices takes a while getting used to because people don't know what is where and it takes a while to figure it out.

Does it matter if Android doesn't have some features that iOS have? Not all devices have every single features. If that ever happened then you would see Apple and Android in court everyday because apparently iOS or Android stole some of their features. Lol

Exactly. A phone isn't meant just for gaming. You could do so much more on it. If iOS is all about gaming then why doesn't Apple just make their own handheld console (like the vita or 3DS) or a tv gaming console?
