Dead iPhone 3GS?
Hey guys..
So I've got a family member's 3GS and I'm lead to believe that it's dead.
I've tried what I can software wise to diagnose it (redsn0w doesn't detect, doesn't go into DFU mode, not detected by computer), but I've got nothing.
And so I'm lead to believe that it's a hardware flaw. I don't know much about what happened, they said that it just "happened", and I know things like this just don't happen. But from what I can see, the screen looks like it has either some dead pixels, or it just looks like it has those lines that will sometimes be left behind on the screen if you force shut down the phone (manually). Water sensors haven't been tripped, sounds like something could be rattling from the inside though.
Any thoughts/ideas? I've been thinking of the battery, but I don't know if the logic board could be out or anything else.
Any constructive criticism is appreciated! Thanks!
