Is the next generation iPod touch a downgrade rather than an upgrade?

So...? The iPhone 5 will get the A6 (which is far superior to the A5X and A5) and the 5th generation iPod touch will get the A5. This is like the iPod touch upgraded to the 4s. I might as well buy an unlocked iPhone 5 because ya know... I like having the latest technology.

Oh wait, I have no money for a $699 iPhone... This is a sad day.

Well, I don't give a flying hoot. I still have my 2G and it still works. I'll upgrade in a year or two.

Well, that's all I could think of it being a downgrade. Not that much, eh?

Of course. A6 is the latest. If I want a device with the A5 chip I'll buy myself a 4s. If the 5G had the A6 then it's an upgrade.

Look at it this way:
iPhone 4 > 4s > 5 = A4 > A5 > A6.
iPod touch 4G > iPod touch 5G (4s) = A4 > A5.


Oh wait, I still have no money.

I think people should stop confusing whether they have enough money to buy it, with it being a crap product. Let me put it another way, those that can afford it and purchase it, love it, those that can't afford it and don't buy it, spend their time complaining about it!

I believe they are hating on the products to try and justify a reason to not buy

EVERYBODY want's the product...
if anyone said they would not take it if they were given for free I would call a lier

but Apple has everyone in the palm of their hand
ready to sell their mother or a kidney for the latest device

this behavior we are witnessing is people trying to free themselves
from the urge to give crapple more money
