Out of ideas for jailbreak...

I have successfully jailbroken a number of phones prior to this, but this one has me stumped, I acquired a 3GS new bootrom on 4.3.5 firmware, and then used tinyumbrella to determine which shsh was available to me and was surprised to see 5.1.1 available despite iOS 6 being released along with 4.1(as always) and a bunch of betas or whatever.

Is this a mistake from tiny umbrella or can restore to 5.1.1? Any attempt so far has failed and the things I have tried are as follows:

• using TSS server with phone in dfu mode to restore, error 1600.
• using ireb to enter dfu using TSS server and apple servers with no luck.
• creating a custom firmware with redsn0w and stitching the blobs, trying to restore gives continuous errors, amongst them error 20 and 21.

Now am I missing something or is the info in tinyumbrella wrong?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Create your custom restore, put phone in dfu mode, then put in pwned dfu mode using redsnow. Then restore.

1. Open Redsnow

2. Select "Extras"

3. Select "SHSH Blobs"

4. Select "Stitch".

5. Use pop up windows to Select your 5.1.1 IPSW and SHSH. Redsn0w will take over then.

6. Use Redsn0w to put the device in Pwned DFU mode

7. Option (Shift) + Click on RESTORE in iTunes and select your new stitched IPSW

This was not working for me when I tried to practice the procedure with iOS 5.1.1 while Apple was signing.

Is there any reason that the fact Apple was signing at the time would have kept me from doing this. Details of my problems at

3gs error 21 restoring redsn0w stitched 5.1.1? - SiNfuL iPhone

I never tried again and had installed my 5.1.1 with Apple's direct approval, but would like to know that I would have a working method for a re-restore to 5.1.1 without changing my baseband.
