is sprint unlocked out side the US?

a quick question
im gonna sell my bad esn sprint iphone 4s to someone outside the US
so as i read on google sprint have thier 4s factory unlocked only outside the US
mine has a bas esn. will it work? thank you

i live in he US and went to SCOTLAND this past April....my phone worked on a lebara sim card...if that helps...i bought my iphone 4s at launch on sprint

i think all sprint iphone 4s got bad ESN , i bought 2 iphone 4s 16gb at one 64gb all of them are bad esn damn.

Sprint and Verizon iPhone 4S phones support both CDMA and GSM networks. But preferred is CDMA. In order to use them on GSM network you have to jailbreak your CDMA iPhone 4s. Once jailbreak is done, go ahead and perform following couple steps to disable CDMA modem in iPhone 4s:

- Connect your 4S with iFunbox or any other iPhone file manager to PC
- Go to ar/wireless/Library then delete file carrier_310VZW_20404_11.2.plist
- Go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundle/iPhone delete folder Zeppelin_US.bundle
- Delete your sim card carrier bundle in the same folder ( if your iphone is Sprint so delete folder sprint_bundle - NOTE. in some phone this folder does not exist, just skip this step)

It`s done, now your CDMA modem does not have PRL (preferred roaming list file) and will not be able to search and register on CDMA network.

Program your gevey with correct settings and enjoy your unlocked iPhone 4S.
I have personally tested 2 Sprint 4S in US and got them unlocked with V13 update.

i tried this for lile 100 times and tried eveything possible.
i couldnt unlock my fucking 4s
tried 4 gevey ultra s cdma,
tried rsim3, rsim 3 golden.
i have a galaxy s2 now while my 3 yrs old daughter keeping my ip4s to play angry birds :@
i just gave up on unlocking my 4s

Not all Sprint iphone 4s are unlocked when you first got it, my iphone is example. when I got iphone 4s, it was locked for international, because I got mexico sim card in and it required to activated it, so I called sprint and asked them to unlock for me and they unlocked it in a couple hours, I connected iphone to itunes and got message:"you iphone is unlocked"then I put the sim card in and it go through well and got the signal. but someone got it unlocked right away don't need to call sprint, so best way is insert international sim card and you will know the answer, if you phone is bad esn and locked no way to unlock it beside j/b and buy gevey unltra sim card.
