ios6 verses Jellybean

Ios 6 Verses Jellybean

In this video we compare Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the Galaxy Nexus with iOS 6 running on the iPhone 5. These operating systems are very different. Android has a more much flexible and useful notification shade, a better one-stop content store, and the ultimate level of control and flexibility. iOS 6 on the other hand has a comprehensive cloud solution with iCloud, a more simple user interface, and a voice service feature (Siri) which can work more deeply into the phone when compared to Android's solution.

Same old, same old. iOS is much much noob friendly (and limited functionality without JB ) that my grandma could learn how to use it within a day. Android on the other hand is much much flexible (and too complicated for noobs) that I would keep getting asked how to perform basic tasks by my grandma.

Along side that, iOS allows you to live behind those online security worries in your productivity world (Laptop/Desktop) whereas Android forces you to carry them with you on the go.

Comparing iOS to Android is like comparing Windows to Linux. Of course iOS and Windows are more user friendly, why do u think most big corporations run them. But on the other hand Android and Linux are far more complex and not everyone knows how to properly use them. Thus making iOS and Windows more user friendly, because all u gotta do is double click, LMAO.

But we all know where Linux stands compared to WinBlows. So I guess we know where Android stands compared to iOS.

Who says it can't run Jellybean? Jellybean has been on the S3 very shortly after it was released. Hell my S2 has Jellybean on it and it's likely never gonna see an official Jellybean release because it's outdated already. That is one of the beauties of Android. They can run custom roms which are generally way better than official releases.

You quoted me but never read what I said. Official release. I didnt say my S3 can't run JB, but simply I have NOT received the official update. In fact...Im positive it can run a lot of shit.

My S3 is my work phone, so I am a little hesitant to attempt to root it. Although I have been circling this thread for a couple weeks now.

I read it. When it releases is really a push pull between Samsung and the carrier. AT&T is the worst so if you are on Verizon you'll get it before AT&T I'm betting. But the wait time before that happens is anyone's guess. For instance, the Samsung Captivate through AT&T didn't get an official Gingerbread update until at the end of it's cycle pretty much.

• Samsung Galaxy S III [UPDATED 9/24/12]: Samsung reportedly started rolling out the Android 4.1 upgrade to Galaxy S III owners in Poland on September 24, 2012. The company said the upgrade would reach GSIII owners in other countries "gradually." Samsung representatives had previously gone on the record as saying the Galaxy S III would get an Android 4.1 upgrade sometime in October.

I read it. Let me say from experience with 2 different Galaxy S series of phones. If you are on AT&T your update will not come from Samsung directly. Samsung releases beta's and nothing technically official if it's a branded phone until it comes down through AT&T's servers. Once AT&T deems Samsung's beta's stable enough for release then they will eventually release it. So with that said if you use AT&T the wait could be a few months to several months since they are slow to release anything.

Yeah you quoted me before I realized you were on Verizon and changed my post. It's kind of silly that they hold off for the US release for so long and other countries get it first. Just be glad your not waiting on at&t lol. They are truly slow.

That is my only major gripe thus far with Android. They are so fast to cut off "old" phones from receiving updates.
That and the play Store is really childs play compared to the App Store. Most of my favorite games aren't even ported as of yet.

Also, iphone jb devs really have made jailbreaking so easy. Im feeling a little over whelmed trying to wrap my head around customizing my S3.

In the end, whether you choose Jelly Bean or iOS 6 depends on the kind of user you are. Android provides the highest level of customization, with a new level of refinement and fluidity in Jelly Bean. iOS 6 provides the stability and fluidity it always has, and it now has even more iCloud features, plus the web browser is faster than ever
