So I have a 4s on straight talk, and I did the t-mobile sim swap method. It appears when I turn my phone off, all the settings go back to how they were before, and MMS stops working.

Anyone else having this issue? I'm loving the $45 thing, and not having MMS is not a huge deal, but if it is possible, I would love to figure this out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just used ebay. If you go to a Tmobile store it is I think 8.99. ebay example is

Sim Card, T-Mobile, brand new | eBay

I ordered my sim and unlock code from Ebay. Unlock code was emailed to me. Followed the Utube sim swap method. after unlock took about 10 minutes. to read and view everything. Works great. One last thing I already had a sim cutter so was not bound by the smaller sim. Sim cutters run about 3.99. Let me know if you need any help. Peace

what worked for me with the sim swap method is to click the reset settings button in the cellular data network screen after you have put in the straight talk sim back in the phone. it will show the default apn settings that you will change. now after rebooting several times my mms and data are still working

no, after you put in your straighttalk sim, you click reset at the bottom so that it shows the default apn settings from att, you replace those with the right straighttalk settings, then you can reboot

Won't u still loose all your settings once u power down your device still afterwards?

I have yet to do the sim swap method.

Needs to be something more permanent I don't understand why they can't just send carrier update settings like tmobile did when I put in a uk sim I got message in iTunes to change once I did.

Maybe I can write them an email to see if they will possibly look into it. Lol like something will happen..

You won't lose settings with the 4s, Can't speak to other versions of the Iphone. I have read mixed success. I have seen nothing on the Iphone 5, but it is worth a try, just follow the video on the sim swap and don't jump ahead. On the iphone 5 , I would guess you will need a Tmobile sim, and cut it down to iphone 5 size. Those two things the sim and sim cutter should be about 10.00. Good luck

Hey all. New to the forum. I have been using an iphone for years but have just made the switch to ST. I should be getting my sim and air time tomorrow so I will be trying to figure everything out. No doubt I will be hitting up the more knowledgeable people here.
