Forum members: I have another question ???
If I ever need to restore my 5.1.1 OS to 5.1.1 do I just go to iTunes and follow the normal "Restore" procedure OR will iTunes automatically upgrade to 6.0?
If so please tell me how to restore from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 WITHOUT the update.
Thank you............
PS - I am assuming that in the event of a 5.1.1 OS Restore I would lose my JailBreak/Cydia?

Oh ..........I had mentioned it in my postings on the previous page: BTW - isn't the info you want underneath my screen name on the left?
Previous post: "On an un-locked (by AT+T) iPhone 3GS (32Gig). I was successful in downgrading back to 5.1.1 from 6.0 (SOFTWARE 6.0 BUILD 10A403) using -->(RedSn0w 0.9.14b2.) and then I Jail-broke the phone and all seems to be working fine. My aim in doing so was also to have "unrestricted internet access" by means of u.web2go.com.server4.operamini.com:80 modification - using my TMobile Pre-paid Sim through OperaMini 5.0.2 - APN (wap.voicestream.com)"

Sorry - but as I explained in my previous post(s) - I already did that - SO I do NOT need to go back to 5.1.1 - I am already there.
I am asking a different Question altogether.........What would happen if I tried to RESTORE 5.1.1 to the 5.1.1 that I already have installed.......

This works with an A5X (iPad3), right?
Re-Restore 5.1.1->5.1.1
Willing to try it but just want to know what happens if it fails - stuck in recovery and forced to upgrade to iOS 6.0 or simply able to boot back into 5.1.1 jailbreak that I have now?

You would be stuck in recovery mode temporarily, just kick it out with tiny umbrella.

I think it's that long or longer BUT...
There's already the break for the A4 devices even though it's a tethered break. They've got to have some type of clue as to what's needed to get where they want it to be. I don't see them walking away from it, it's too much of a challenge and too many people are pestering the piss out of Pod every day for him to just give up. I know he wants people to stop bugging him about it and let him do it at his own pace...

Thing is, the break for the A4 devices on 6 was nothing new. With the limerain exploit, they can drop a jailbreak in for every A4 on every firmware for the rest of the life of the device, period. Even in the current jailbreak for A4s it doesn't even install cydia. I honestly give us a good 5-6 months before a jailbreak is out, just like it was with the 4s.
