Redsnow creating signed FW 5.1.1.
This post is just for imformation as I was able to solve my problem by using a alternative software(snowbreeze).
I wanted to restore my IP4 to 5.1.1 i have the blobs and my device is on 5.1.1.
I was using redsnow to stitch the signed firmware then putting the phone in pwned dfu and then shift restore itunes. It would go all the Way until the last step and have a -1 error and leave the phone on rcovery mode. I kicked it out of recovery mode to find it did restore my device.. EXCEPT one thing. It has NO BASEBAND installed.
I started whole procces over with exact results. I even did a full factory itunes restore to IOS6 because i knew it would install a BB ( no unlock). Redsnow continued to stitch the FW that would leave my phone without a BB.
I loaded up snowbreeze and using the same ipsw and blobs I stitched a signed 5.1.1 , pwned dfu and shift +restore. It worked on the First try.
I was either doing something wrong or there is something wrong with the way redsnow signs ipsw.

it has been confirmed that this is a Redsnow issue. DO NOT use Redsnow to stitch ipsw until the next release.

I posted a guide about how redsn0w is not working. I used sn0wbreeze also to restore my device from 6.0 to 5.1.1. My thread didn't got approval so people maybe still be confused and still having errors downgrading their devices.

Great atleast that means it was not my mistake.
Current version of redsnow is wiping the baseband information instead of preserving them. This could be a dissaster for someone who is dependant on a certain BB.

He is right, that's the redsnow I used and it worked perfect, except the -1 error which is baseband error, but TU and redsnow kicks it out..

Using sn0wbreeze is better. No errors and shit.
I think it removes the OTA update button in General settings so nobody will update or brick your device by accidentaly pressing it.

No idea what ur saying.... if what u said is true then i would not have signal right,and my iphone 4 would be useless??? funny that, im talking to brad one of my mates on it now and he swears i have signal(U know he can hear me,and i him...he sent me a msg 5 mins ago)...
and thats the method i use,Dont get me wrong i have sn0wbreeze in my iphone 4 restore folder... but redsnow had always worked for me so i never needed to use it,but every one seems to have similar opinions about what one is better.

I have used red snow on i4 today lost service, Bluetooth & wifi. bb has updated to latest one iTunes will not activate my phone
Tried on 5.1.1 tried 6.0 jb both still get same fault
I will give this ago in the morning
Did your devices show the bb?

No it did not show the BB. It had all 0s.
However when I made this thread it was for the older version of redsnow. Now that a new re-restore version has released this issue may not exist. I have not confirmed it.
