Is my phone unlocked?

Hi all,

I've been away from the scene for a while and currently have an iphone 4 that is fully jailbroken and all functions active with the original carrier 'T-Mobile' however I am to switch to VirginMedia and would like to know if my phone is unlocked as a result of the jailbreak or do I have to run some additional software to do this?

VirginMedia use the T-Mobile/Orange network but I don't know if the phone will complain the SIM is unrecognised?

yes it will complain sim not recognised as richard branson was cleaver to use the tmobile airwaves but change the algorythm

so virgin acts like its own carrier

even to the point that virgin to tmobile and vise versa are not classed as calling same network and for pay as you go the topup cards wont work cross network

also JBing does not ulock the phone just unrestrict root access

to unlock ask tmobile they will give you a code for £30 or if you have the old bootrom then you may be able to do a ultrasnow unlock
dont go to tjose town centre corner shop unlockers most charge £80plus pure rip off

and they do it by getting a code from the network which they pay £30 for

might aswell get the code your self

the site is not working properly it should give you a sim lock status but it is not at the moment
my friend said the server is down at the moment check again tomorrow
