SiriPort (Full Siri Hack) For 5.1.X & Some 6.0 Devices :: Better Than Acid & Spite

SiriPort.Ru - Repo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8GrGPKhZ8A

The content in their 95MB package is copied directly out of Apple's encrypted firmware and then repackaged by them

Finally, a true full featured Siri.

No problems installing. The first time trying to connect can at times take 10-20 minutes of attempts, but once the ticket is punched there doesn't seem to be any problems reaching the server on an ongoing basis.

I can't speak to uninstalling. I have not had to yet.

What hacked Siri server doesn't have its fair share of problems? 99% of the time is an exaggeration. I've only had 2 non-connect failures in 24 hours of use. That's an acceptable amount.

Cannot speak to what needs to be done to uninstall it. A restore would not be a stretch of the imagination - the program is large 90mb, and brought me back to the initial Iphone set-up screen specifically to go through the Siri activation portion.

The phone sees this hack as an official copy Siri and works like Siri, including the commands and its responses (grammatically correct) which is nice.

I don't have the Hebrew .deb, sorry.

To break the boot loop, use TinyUmbrella or boot into Safe Mode by holding the Vol. Up button while the phone is booting.

Installed it fine and got cert, managed to connect to server and it was working fine for about 1/2 hour, but after that couldn't reconnect. uninstalled it fine and went back to acid for the moment.

I made sure I removed all siri extensions before uninstalling internationallocations, assistant extensions etc...

You should list the steps for others to follow in case they are hesitant about installing fearing that they won't be able to cleanly de-installed.

And yes, strangely enough mine has stopped responding. The server says they are still online and active.
SiriPort.Ru - Server Status

I wonder if I can grab a certificate from another server and have Siri point there instead because I truly like how well this port was integrated. It feels stock.

Hmmm, I may have to pull my endorsement of this program everyone. Although the server page says that it is online, the server hasn't responded to any of my request over the past four days.

It worked flawlessly for the first 72 hours or so after I installed it and responded to every request.
Now, nothing.

In a way, I am almost concerned that it might have been set-up to give me access while it sniffed the contacts and contents of my phone, and once it had everything, simply shutoff access to the proxy server. That of course is a paranoid pessimistic view, but one that could be rational (Note: The same applies to any of these non-Apple proxy servers.).

All I had on at the time was Assistant Extensions and International locations, removed them first then uninstalled siriport.

Seems as if I was lucky and just got away with it that time. Tried again later and bollocked my phone and had to restore to 6.01

Will have to have another go later

Sorry to hear about this. Any program that requires you to restore your phone after removing it gets a bit of a side eye from me. Then again, you did not do a clean de-install you went in a hacked around some of the files in the directory so this may be the root cause.

damn! this "was"-"is" looking ok--
but like Heist said, it could be just a snooper type program- (paranoid me)
but then again, the og siri does the same, otherwise it would not know who/what/number to call when you ask it.

just my .02c

on a different note, how about emailing/tweeting.twating-whatever, get a hold of the creator and ask him/her --what the deal is with the uninstalling/restoring portion and why the heck does it stop working after, what Heist said, 72 hours...hmmmm

on a diff. note, would it be possible to use a "real" cert, for example; one of my friends has an i4s with full functioning Siri, would it at all possible to use that cert?
if so, how would be go about it?-hmmm....any ideas would be great!

additionally, if this is possible, do you think we need to get to the root of the phone and add/delete dependencies?

I don't trust any of these siriport things from Russia or anywhere for that matter. I used one on a spare device which had an email account on it that I NEVER used for 2+ years. I didn't receive an email for that acct in over a year and within days of installing the siri profile I started getting various emails even though I still never used the the account period.

I believe it's more than coincidence that the spam/phishing emails started coming.
