Is this tool working well for 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 re-restores on iPad 2 wifi, iPad 3 wifi, and 3gs new bootrom? I have all these devices in my household, all on 5.1.1 installed by iTunes and then jailbroken with Absinthe, while Apple was signing. None of the devices need re-restore now, but am curious if this tool can be counted on in my situation, for all of the devices I mentioned? It seems people are having a lot of problems with this tool. I have all 5.1.1 SHSH blobs on hand, along with the original unaltered 5.1.1 firmware files. Do I meet the conditions for a smooth run, should I mess up any of my devices?

Try putting it into dfu mode or use the latest ireb, has worked on some occasions for me

trying to restore my iPhone 4S with 5.1.1 to again 5.1.1.
Seems everything goes well, but when I'm almost done, I get Error 2985 fro Redsnow, and now my 4S is in loop.
Any help ?

I just restored my 4s from 5.1.1 back to 5.1.1 and it's working awesome. Just need to be patient while it's loading the blog.

Yes, I'm using redsn0w 0.9.15b2. I didn't connect to itunes at all. after it's done restored back to 5.1.1. I just restored my backup from icloud through wifi. I don't have lots of apps so its quick.

Any help? I tried to restore my 4s from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1. (my previous firmware was from iTunes update and restore when 5.1.1 was open). Got Shsh from TU, Cydia. Redsn0w said apticket was present and valid! when i tried, it says the hack was unable to perform, my shsh may have wrong data, it said it does not work if it was OTA update or from factory but i got the firmware fron iTunes Restore, does it mean that it is catergorised as from the factroy? Any feedback is appreiated.
Redsn0n sent the phone to recovery mode not DFU, i tried local and remote shsh but it says the same, any ideas pls!!!
Redsn0w pointed the 4s to recovery mode, would it make a difference if i put it to DFU mode? or stitch with a blob, which workaround is better, Apple Hacker, any help from anyone?

Hi,
I manage to downgrade my ipad2 gsm from ios 6.0.1 to ios 5.1.1 by using redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3.
Here what I did: i downloaded ios 4.3.3 (coz I have all shs) and ios 5.1.1
DFU ipad2 gsm
extras - even more - restore - ipsw
then I have pointed to 5.1.1 after is asking for 4.3.3. Finally is asking to point (loval) the saved shs for 4.3.3.
Job done! It takes some time coz it kicks the device in different modes: it first downgrade the os to 4.3.3 and the automatically updates to 5.1.1.
