There is a way but i am yet to get it to work properly-
I have downgraded a iphone4 with another iphone4 blobs from 6 to 5.1 and from 6 to 4.3 and managed to get the phone to take it and jailbreak it afterwords-
It always errors in iTunes but you can get it to boot on jailbreak=
The 2 problems i have encountered doing this is as follows-
1- i have no service-signal- it somehow interferes with the signal
2- the phone will go into dfu mode when it feels like it so you need to re-boot via computer-
So - its really unstable and a waste of time but i am still messing and if i ever find a way will let you all know!!

You obviously know what you are talking about. Restore a phone with another phone's shsh. Keep going mate

If something seems too good to be true, it most certainly is.
Always look a gift horse in the mouth, unless you don't much care whether it has teeth or not.
And remember you can't cheat an honest man.
Don't forget to click thanks if I helped you!

Lol !! strange but true-- and hears how if you are brave enough--
Build your file using i faith and saved shsh from any phone 4 this way apple will let it past and start the restore- After the software stage is complete it will then try and restore the modem- at this point it will fail and iTunes will error and the phone will show connect to iTunes-
At this point put the phone in dfu mode via redsn0w and jailbreak- the phone will re-boot into what ever version you have loaded 5.1 / 4.3 but the modem version will still be the same and it wont show a signal--
S0-before you take the mick try it for yourself- and i will find away to do this eventually---

I had problem with signal on my 3GS 5.0.1, couldn't restore to the same firmware or upgrade with alt+shift to any firmware which I had it save through Cydia and tiny umbrella. So I update the iTunes, restart my computer ( window 7 ) update to ios6 and then downgrade to 5.0.1 with no problem using the latest redsnow. Uncheck the cydia in tiny umbrella and start shhh in tiny umbrella then open iTunes, then alt+ shift to downgrade to whatever firmware you wants with your shhh save in tiny umbrella.

what about after doing a restore using a software or tweak to change the imei back to yours...It may or may not work but logically thinking if you use the other phones imei it thinks its the other person and two imei's exactly the same would cause the signal issues right....

Point is unless you have Jailbroken before and your SHSH's were saved on Cydia or you saved them via Tiny Umbrella you should be able to, if not then defiantly no stop trying.

I have a bunch of blobs saved on Cydia (4.1, 4.2.1, 4.2-b3, 4.3, 4.3.3, 4.3.5, 5.0.1, 5.1, 5.1.1, 5.1.1r1 and 6.0.1) for my iPhone 4 currently running on 5.1.1.
I''m giving this phone to my wife when my iPhone 5 arrives (will naturally be on stock 6.x)
Will this work for my new iPhone 5 since it obviously won't be jailbroken and should I try and save the blobs to my laptop and if so how?
Be gentle with your answers. I'm not that savvy in all this.
Thnx for any and all help.

Are you asking if you can use your iPhone 4 blobs to restore your iPhone 5 to an older firmware?
If so, the answer is no. Shsh blobs are device specific.
