Problem with the 3G.. Have no idea what to do!
Hi.
I have iPhone 3GS old bootrom, currently on iOS 4.1 and baseband 6.15.
Everything was fine until a few days, then my 3G internet decided making me lose it.
I have carrier signal and 3G on top but sometimes the internet is just not working. In safari and whatsapp, for example, it can say "loading" for unlimited time, and closing the app & opening again doesn't help.
I did everything I could think of: restoring (with a redsn0w custom firmware, a sn0wbreeze custom firmware and stock) , downgrading, updating, taking the sim out and back in, installing the iPad baseband, downgrading to 05.13.04, installing the iPad baseband again (the problem wasn't solved with each of the basebands), reset network settings, reset settings, reset, hard reset, uninstalling and reinstalling mobilesubstrate & ultrasn0w... I think everything that is possible. It keeps working and not working when it wants to.
I tried the same sim on other phone (at the times I had the problem with mine) and there was no issue, so probably it isn't the carrier's fault.
I'm about to give up, what the hell is this? why does it happen?

As I said, I've tested the sim on other phone and there was no problem.
It's just unbelievable, where did it come from?!

1. Why in the world would you reinstall the ipad baseband???? I mean better service, better battery, and gps. Its perfect the downgraded baseband (did it last month )
2. Try turning off 3g, try internet on 2g, then reconnect on 3g and see if that works or that might mean your celluar chip might be failing.

1. I've tried everything which I thought that may somehow change something. Just every possibility that jumped into my head. By the way, now I'm on 05.13.04 again.
2. I tried it, no change. If the cellular chip is the problem, there is no way to fix it besides hardware replacement?

1. YAY!
2. No.
3. Im going to stop using numbers.
Now you can replace the antenna shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZBAZq2PggY, and since it is a complete tear down you can replace the battery shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBYkYMcGcy4
Hope this helps!
