STUCK IN WEIRD MODE ?!?
ok guys im trying to unlock an iphone 3g thing is it has a broken power botton
so i had to create a dfu mode firmware using redsnow.
Got it installed then tried using redsnow again got a device driver installed then when the phone went blank got a device driver not install and now the phone stays with the backlight on but wont come on.
The power button is broken so i cant restart the phone. what should i do ?

Right click my computer --> Properties --> Device Manager
Right click Apple DFU Driver --> Uninstall.
Unplug USB cable
Reconnect USB cable with phone attached in DFU Mode.
Done°
Usually!

I wouldn't recommend turning the phone on while the screen is off. I burned out the chip that controlled the backlight doing this.

You cant be serious .
Really ?
Unbelievable.
Who comes on these ideas ?
I would never recommend doing this if you have any guaranty on the device and even if not you can break more with that method then it would help you fixing your problem.
Well thats a decision to be made by anyone who is already so far mentally to give this a try instead of giving the idevice in experienced hands to let it be fixed on a profesional way.

No offense towards you , since i think this wasn't your idea after all , you just followed this video guide.
Well iam glad this worked for you and it mite works for others too , but as you can read in this video he warned also that this has lead to burned motherboards already .
Well again this is a decision that has any single one to make on his own.

your Device is in the recovery mode so you may use Tinyumbrella to exit recovery mode or update with stock firmware
