First off, you must have Cyder II somewhere on your PC (duh); if you haven't already downloaded it, you can get it via the following link:
ZIP File Password: MrElectrifyer4u
When Cyder II starts up, or during runtime (when it's open and running), you may bump into an error message with either of the following in it:
1.)
"This application has failed to start because QTCF.dll was not found."
"Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
To solve this issue, you must have QuickTime installed; if you don't already have it installed, the latest (PRO) version can be obtained here. Once you have it installed, navigate to the following directory and copy the "QTCF.dll" file to the same directory as the "Cyder2.exe" file:
Cyder2.exe - Entry Point Not Found
"The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located"
"in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll."
This issue is usually caused by an outdated "SQLite3.dll" file. To solve this issue, you must have iTunes installed; if you don't already have it installed, the latest version can be obtained here. Once you have it installed, navigate to the following directory and copy the "SQLite3.dll" file to the same directory as the "Cyder2.exe" file:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
-----------------------------------------------------------------
3.)
"iPhone/iPod Not Found" or "File Error"
If your iDevice was jailbroken with "blackra1n", in order to solve this issue, you must have the "afc2add" tweak installed on your iDevice. The .deb files for the tweak, and it's dependencies, have been included with this package in the "afc2add v1.01" folder; respring your iDevice after installation. If "afc2add" is already installed or your iDevice wasn't jailbroken with "blackra1n", then all you have to do is disconnect, wait a few seconds (15 should be good) then reconnect your iDevice and everything should be working good. NOTE that Cyder II doesn't always show the real time status of the device; to get it to show that it's connected, do as follows:
- Navigate to it's "Sources" tab
- Disconnect (for a couple of seconds) and reconnect your iDevice
- Immediately click the "Get sources from Cydia" button and you should notice bar at the bottom right loading; if not:
- If it shows "File Error..." at the bottom left, simply click the button again after a few seconds
- If it shows "Processing sources...", just be patient, it's processing your long list of Cydia sources
EXTRA
Just incase (might never be necessary for you ),"iTunesMobileDevice.dll" is located in:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(x32-Bit) -> C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
(x64-Bit) -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DON'T BE A N00B; LET ME KNOW OF ANY OTHER ERRORS YOU'VE COME ACROSS
when cyder2 run in pc,it says apple mobile device connection error.please help me for this problem
That sounds more like the "Apple Mobile Device" service isn't running. Check if it's running; open start menu, launch control panel, change the view to show ALL control panel icons, click Administrative Tools, click Services and search for the "Apple Mobile Device" service. What's it's Status?
If it's Status is "Started", you might just need to restart your PC. If it's blank, click on it and click the "Start" link in the far left info section.
I have an iPad 1st gen and I kept getting the error stating no device was found, didn't detect device, etc, etc.
I installed QuickTime and now it works perfectly
I´ve got this problem, Cyder II says something about an error with ASL.dll
What can it be?
I'm assuming you have followed all the instructions and have the latest iTunes n QuickTime installed? If so, carry out the following routine:
1.) Ensure iTunes n QuickTime are closed
2.) Navigate to the following directory and copy the "ASL.dll" file to the same directory as the "Cyder2.exe" file.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(x32-Bit) -> C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
(x64-Bit) -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.) Restart your computer
4.) Reattempt launching Cyder II
Let me know if that works out for you or not. If not, give a better description of what you were doing when it popep-up, might wanna also include a screen shot.
I have some tweaks not showing up after installing with cyder.
For e.g. i had weathericon installed, and it is listed as installed under cydia
But i cant find it under settings/mobile substrate
Is there any way that i can resolve this?
I couldnt do it through cydia as im unable to locate the problem causing http/1.0 43 forbidden, thus cyder was the only method around.

As the OP states, this thread is for fixing errors that stop you from using Cyder II on your PC; not applications on your iDevice Start a new thread and give better description of the errors you're coming across in Cydia, consider including a screenshot as it speaks a lot louder than just words.

Mind giving details of what you're trying to use that's not working What error messages are you coming across? Seriously, can't help you with just useless "it's not working" comments; no description, no solution
I did all the steps..I updated my itunes to most recent version, downloaded quicktime, copied over SQLite3.dll (although curiously, I didn't find this in my Apple folder under 'Mobile Device Support', I didn't find it all so I just copied the one you provided.) I'm still getting an error that says: "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located"
"in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." and then followed by a: "Could not load "iTunesMobileDevice.dll", check your iTunes installation" I don't have afc2add and there is no way I can get it because this whole process is for me to get OpenSSH without Cydia, and I can't use Cydia or iFile to get afc2add since I'm currently locked out of my phone. I know there is a way to get the OpenSSH bundle in the phone and then use WinSCP so I can save my data but I'm having a lot of trouble. If you could help me with this Cyder issue I might be able to do it...thanks a lot.

If it wasn't present in the above directory; there might have been some installation error. Try the following and let me know what happens:
- Restart your PC
- Check the above directory for the "SQLite3.dll" file; if you don't still see it in there, copy and paste the one I provided into that directory
- Laucnh Cyder2; what message does it display?
