iTunes not syncing to iPod or iPad

I placed this thread in the iPad forum too and thought it might be suited better here.

I have synced numerous ripped movies via iTunes in the past. This has worked flawlessly until a couple of nights ago when I tried to add one and iTunes said there was an error and that it had to shut down. The movie copied fine to iTunes and would play through iTunes but when I tried to sync, it shut down (I tried several times). I have an iPad 1 on 4.2.1 and iTunes 10.6.3. There was another error message that said something like "internal device error, unable to sync."

Since my initial post, I have the same problem with the iPod now as well.

Any idea what could be causing this or how to fix?

Thanks,
Craig

A couple of questions regarding iTools:

1) Will I first need to clear my phone and start from a restored state or can I install iTools and connect my device and upload everything from the device to iTools?

2) Can I have several devices on iTools like I can do on iTunes?

Thanks in advance.

use external app like AV player no need to encode you're movie and many format are supported
just put in you're video in itune on idevice app section scroll down chose avplayer and put in you're movie
in you're device open avplayer and look you're all movie

I have VLC Player but the problem is that I can't get my device(s) to sync. I tried a .mov version of a movie and iTunes doesn't accept it when I drag it in and try to sync.

Also, I tried your trick with iFile and removing a couple of things but that did not work.

Any other ideas?

1) No, you still use itunes for restores and that. iTools can backup stuff on your phone, contacts, sms, pictures, apps, CRACKED apps, generate IPA's from apps on your phone. Think of iTools as an open itunes, lets you take music off, add music with no restrictions, you can even take music off a non jailbroken ipod/iphone/ipad and copy it to ur desktop. Theres more things, but give it a try, you wont be disappointed

2) Yes, as many as you like.

I tried iTools and I got the same error message and that it needed to shut down. I also deleted iTunes and reinstalled but same problem.

I have a feeling something might be wrong with my PC. This is really starting to piss me off.
