For eight spectacular seasons, LeBron James had done everything on the basketball court except close a championship.

Thursday night, the eight-time All-Star and three-time MVP closed emphatically, coming up big when it mattered most and earning the first ring of his career.

The Miami Heat rolled over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 on Thursday, 121-106, and James added some more hardware to his collection: an NBA Finals MVP trophy.

I'm a mavs fan but when they got out I was going for Miam.

With the stacked players Miami had, if they couldn't win it from Oklahoma then they should be ashamed of themselves. Congrats to them tho... Bout time LeBron won a championship

Nope. LeBron still has that ridiculous hairline he's holding onto and if they do not repeat, they'll look like frauds.
It was inevitable they would win a Chip. The team was design specifically to be a Super Power much in the same way Boston was 4 years ago.

The justification of this franchise is if they win MORE than one. One is not going to be enough to legitimize their stature and the amount of money spent both on-contract and under the table deals.

I noticed Riley danced his way around saying they would go on to win a back-to-back Championship as he did with the Lakers. He stammered and pivoted like a mo-fo on that question.
