SETTINGS-SOUNDS PROBLEM
I dont know whats going on but every time I go into my settings and go into my sounds and it just crashes back to my springboard????
If anyone knows whats going on or knows a fix could you help me out????

Someone has to know something about this i cant be the only one its happened to
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I CANT FIGURE IT OUT
I can still SHH into my device but can go into settings and then sounds but after hitting sounds it just crashes back to my springboard

Hope you can find a solution!
Here is the reason I asked about winterboard and here was the solution for his settings crash.
"I had the same issue. I installed the Extended Preferences and had it enabled in winterboard. I uninstalled Extended Preferences from Cydia and my Setting would keep crashing.
To fix it I reinstalled the Extended Preferences. Went into Winterboard and disabled it and then uninstalled it and my settings app is now back to normal.
I noticed that anytime you have something enabled in Winterboard and you uninstall it you have some left over issues. If you can remember to disable the setting in Winterboard before you uninstall."

Yes i have a ton of custom sounds but it has never had a prob when i change them...
Havent changed anything that hasnt worked before
I updated to 4.1 and did all my sounds and stuff and it worked, but a day later it started doing this
PLEASE HELP?

Some times if you rename them them, it can cause problems. This has happened to me.

My friends 3g is doing something like that. I Think I got A bad ISWP when I move him up to 4.1. I'm Going to try a diff one soon. If you don't have a fix for it ill let you know what happens. His just crashes every time he goes into settings. 4.2 was suppose to speed up the slow os on the 3g I do believe. I might just bump him up to that.

hey guys ,from experience with iphone 3g , version 4.1 wasnt made for it , after the version 3.1.2 its all buggy ,dont tell me there is lots of apps that wont work with 3.1.2 ,there is always alternatives out there, i recommand downgrading to 3.1.2 ,never ever craches on any apps , you can try removing unwanted sounds and see what happend ,the common problem with the iphone 3g is the system memory ,if u open too many apps at the same time or if u have a big load of things like in your case too many sounds it will crash the system, so i recommand u disable the multitusking on 4.x and use pro-switcher from cydia instead , and use the '' free memory '' tap on sbsettings so u have plenty free space to run more than one app at a time , hope i helped

My "Sounds" crashing issue was caused by Supreme Preferences being enabled on Winterboard. Once disabled the Sound Settings were OK. Also my iPhone retained the Supreme Preferences settings which was cool.
I've also heard of other Winterboard themes causing this crash so just try disabling each of your newer themes one by one.

my iphone 3g 4.2.1 W/winterboard did the same thing. I found that in winterboard, a program called -Homescreen Walpaper- was to blame, and was also the culprit in the dissaperance of my Phone app. I de-selected it, resprung and both issues were solved, no uninstall needed. Plus it kept the custome SB walpaper i had selected.

Restore or delete your custom sounds.. Its causing ur winterboard to crash.. If u can figure out which one then delete that particular one if not delete every sound or restore...
