Tried to Upgrade my JB'd 3GS Running 4.1 to 4.3.3 Today - Help Requested

So, here's the story and progression:
3GS running 4.1
Jailbroke w/Greepoison -
Updated my BB to 6.15.00 and unlocked with Ultrasnow so I could use it on Tmo

I have always feared upgrading because I worried about a bricked phone. First time I tried to upgrade was today because of Comex's simple JBme release and my worst fears came true. Now I have a wiped phone stuck in DFU loop.

Method (1)
- Everything started smoothly. Itunes backed up and then began downloading and extracting 4.3.3.

- As soon as it was completed though, it kicked back the following: Error (3194).
Solution, was to go into Tiny Umbrella > Advanced > Set Host to Cydia and uncheck that box.

- Fine, then the phone began to redownload, but stopped with another small error and said the phone must be restored.

- Then it kicked over to a full restore in DFU mode. Everything was going fine, but when it hit about 75% complete it kicked out with Error (1015)?! I don't understand why 1015 - I'm UPGRADING not downgrading!

- Now it locks in a DFU loop. The only way I can break out of it is with Tiny Umbrella, but then I'm still left with a bricked phone. When I hook it back up to Itunes to try to restore, it goes right back into 75% installation complete of 4.3.3.and then Error (1015) and DFU loop.

Method (2)

- I tried to Shift + Restore to a saved Custom Firmware of 4.1 that I made back in December and even then I still get the Error (1015) at 75% installation and kicked backed into DFU mode!

Method (3)

- I installed downloaded Apple Hacker's custom 4.3.3 Snowbreeze New Boot Rom Activated IPSW (w/BB 6.15.00)
iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak using custom ipsw files made with Pwangetool and Sn0wbreeze (un-thether jb) - SiNfuL iPhone

- Installed iReb. Used it to boote into PWNage DFU mode then Shift/Restore Custom 4.3.3.
Same deal. It installed up to about 75% progress on my Iphone, then kicked back into Restore screen mode and displayed Error (1015)!

Method (4)
- I used IReb, put it into pwn DFU.
- Turned on Tiny Umbrella TSS. Open itune. Shift restore to custom everything is fine until the end of the Restore the phone kicks out, into a DFU screen (black/blank) but it shows error (1015) again.

WTF?!!! Why does this shit have to be such a pain in the ass. It's a phone! Just install the goddamn software.
Worst fear realized.

Que? It's the Ipad baseband that's causing the problems?
I always thought the Baseband and OS were two separate items independent from one another.

Everyone always said that if I updated to a new O/S, I wouldn't have to re-unlock the phone and if I used the Ipad baseband, that I would not be able to downgrade until a higher BB ver was available. DevTeam, nor anyone else, ever said a thing about not being able to upgrade the O/S!

So now I find out this Baseband update DOUBLE FUCKED ME. Thanks DevTeam. I feel like mailing these guys a shoe box full of steaming horseshit.

My sense of humor, yes.
My patience, no.

I'm really ready to bin this thing. Getting tired of Apple's constant attempts to constrain my device. It's MY device - fuck off, Apple.

I don't think they realize that they're no longer the hottest thing on the block. To the contrary, I have to jailbreak and tweak my phone just to get it to do things that Android already has and have been offering for well over 2 years!

WTF! I just noticed TU only saved my blob for 4.2.1!
What the hell happened to my 4.1? I was only running 4.1. I never upgraded 4.2.x!

I can't even downgrade back to my saved 4.1 Custom Firmware.

Obviously I don't have a SHSH for 4.3.3 because it never installed on my Iphone, however, I'm pretty certain Cydia automatically saved one for me. They may also have my 4.1

sounds good...

I have to say some of the errors in the OP.. sound like the process crash on the baseband

in that case.. the firmware is almost certainly loaded and just need to boot out recovery

hope this or the previous post help...

I owe you a beer! It worked!

The only thing now is that many of my backed up apps won't sync. Getting Error 0xE8008001. Oh well, the most important part is that it works now. Phone and all.
Too bad I DevTeam hasn't figure out how to repair the GPS - this would have been a perfect opportunity to inject some code to fix this.

<Deep breath> Whew!
Now I have to admit, after this ordeal I'm having some sweats thinking about the upgrade to OS 5.0. I do not want to have to relive this nightmare again.

Sidenote:
For anyone having issues, this method SORT of worked when I tried it. It at least got my phone to boot - but it was in some half-assed mode where I would get the lock-screen slider to go to the emergency call dialer but the Recovery Mode background was still showing and I could not get to main springboard.

1st -- go to thos path c:/windows/system32/drivers and cut the folder "etc" and past it on your desktop and rebote you pc

2nd -- restore to stock firmware 4.3.3 not custome , you will get error 1015
3th -- run redsn0w "redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc16" and and jailbreak it ( don't forget to tick cydia and ipad baseband )
4th -- phone will freeze on activating bundle or something like this ( pinapple )
5th -- reset your iphone by pressing the home and power botton you will get recovery mode again ( normal )
6th -- boot tethered using redsn0w again
7th -- iphone will boot normal and need to jailbreak it (NOTE: This portion did not work for me. I got the half assed lockscreen boot I mentioned earlier.)
8th -- jailbreak it and install cydia only then install ultrasn0w
