Trojan Horse Discovered Inside iOS App Store – Warning, Kaspersky blog researchers have discovered an Application on the iOS App store and Google Play called ‘Find and Call‘ this application affected your Android and iOS devices by a trojan horse as the both stores have the same “Find and Call” application.
You have to know that installing Find and Call application on your device would basically uploads your contact book information to a third party server, where the server could then send messages to every one of your contacts telling them to download the Find and Call application from the iOS App Store with a link to download it. Additionally, the application would pretend that you were the one to send the message by causing the caller ID on your friend’s phone to display as if you sent the message to them.
After receiving your friends to the fake messages they would have a great chance to download it, because they have received it from their trusted source and after installing the application, your friend’s contact list would also be infected and uploaded to the third party server, we don’t know what information else uploaded to the third party server, i think that Apple has improved its upcoming iOS 6 firmware by allowing users to choose whether or not an application can have access to your personal data.
Haha sweet. I would actually like to see more stuff like this happen, just to make apple feel slightly less invincible.. As long as it didn't happen to me of course..
Naaa don't worry macs are safe ,that's one of the major reasons the devices are that expensive.I mean for that price they should be invincible like fort knox towards attacks right ?
Apple is a rip off company.And this is not only since Steve blow ummm i mean jobs yes jobs is gone.
Every so often apps get through that are a potential issue, so it makes you wonder just exactly what is their process for approving these apps. You can bet they are going to overhaul that process and somebody is getting canned because this is not the first time. There are a few apps that I got lucky getting before they got rid of them from the app store like itether. Unless they fix their process, things are going to get interesting.
