4.3.5 untethered?

Hey guys,

first of all lemme say this is a great forum and thanks for having. People here are much nicer than most forums i'm on (car forums).

Now i gotta ask a noob question. I have 2 iphones, one of which is running OS 4.3.5 on a Tethered jailbreak. it is also "unlocked" using turbo sim / gevey sim. is there anyway i can make it an untethered jailbreak WITHOUT updating or downgrading, or am i SOL?

You are SOL
However if you make a custom firmware you can preserve your baseband and update to 5.1.1

Just download the lastest redsn0w and go to extras - custom firmware
It will tell you how to do the rest
If I have helped please press the little thanks button in the right hand corner

Thanks man. I'm know how to do a custom firmware, but at this point its not even worth it since i'm planning on moving away from the iphone side in a month.

if you plan to sell the device...

an untethered jailbreak would be much easier for the new owner

strange you move away ... when they announce the iPhone 5 in about a month

mehhh, dislike all the "prototypes". I have two issues with the iphones now. first the fact that the OS feels like its outdated. IOS6 feels like a jailbroken IOS3. right? and the fact is the screen size which they are improving. but i prefer something the side of the Galaxy note (note 2 in august), or maybe the S3
